Children are the future of a society who need to learn to be a good citizen. One school of thought suggests that schools are liable to teach children to be a good citizen while the other school of thought propagates that it is the parent’s task.
School time forms the basic etiquette of a pupil. Besides learning basic education, companionship, healthy competition, sportsmanship and social interaction is experienced at an institute. Moreover, teachers facilitate and help kids in realizing right from wrong and encourage them to participate in various constructive activities. This in turn develops their conscience to be responsible.
Parents however, are a core inspiration throughout a child’s life. Children learn by observing and following their parents. They mimic parent’s morals and implement their values in daily life. As a saying goes; Mother is the first teacher of a child. Hence, parents can make a better mark on their children.
In my opinion, both the schools and parents are responsible in shaping of a child to be a good citizen. As in the early years and at home parents can be the best guides while in school time different developmental activities and teacher’s inspiration can help the child be an ideal member the of society.
