It is often said that governments invest too much money attempting to protect wildlife when there are other much greater problems that money should be spent on. To what extent do you agree? What other problems do we have?

It is believed that govt spend too much funds on protection of wildlife while there are many other problems that should be considered important. I think wildlife protection is important for survival of human being, but other problems such as water crisis, poverty rate and illeteracy are more crucial problems which needs attention. otherwise, world will suffer from severe circumstances.
