Online learning has gained great popularity in recent years, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Some people believe that online education has more advantages, while others firmly believe in the benefits of physical education. So I partially agree with the viewpoint that online education is more effective, because I think it largely depends on the context and learners’ needs.
Online education is more flexible in time and location for those who are managing work, family, and education at a time. It is more feasible for them to save their time and can learn more from online educational platforms.
On the other hand, physical education has its uniqueness, because face-to-face interaction with the teacher and students can enhance their potential for learning more effectively. After all, in a classroom setting, one can learn in a better way when a student gets immediate feedback from the teacher and has a clear all concepts by discussing them with their peers in collaboration.
Although in online education, not everyone has equal opportunities for technology, they face internet issues, and a specific place for study at home. Consequently, these are the barriers to online education.
In conclusion, while online education has advantages in terms of flexibility and accessibility but it is not universally more effective than traditional classroom settings. I think a blended approach will be a more effective solution to this problem to meet the diverse needs of the learners.
