Some would argue that your boys and girls who break laws and commit crimes should be penalized, while others say that the guardians should be punished. While blaming parents for children’s crimes is easy and quick solution, I believe that it is better to punish children for their wrong doings.
On the one hand, punishing parents for the crimes of children can give a negative message to the new generation as children will not give feel guilty and to perform crimes. For example, if a child sees that instead of getting punished, his parents are being penalized, he will not take it seriously and repeat crimes every now and then. As a result, it will give a negative impact to the teenagers in the society. However, I believe that this would possibly increase the crime rates in other teenagers.
On the other hand, when you punish children for their misdeed, it will make them feel guilty and they will think twice before performing crimes again. With serious punishment, children will panic to repeat crimes and as a result, it will reduce the crime rate in the society. For instance, if a boy is caught by the parents for stealing money, it will make him feel guilty and he will realise the mistake and will not repeat the same crime again. Therefore, it is better to punish children in order to teach them to become a better person and it will help in minimizing the crimes in other teenagers.
In conclusion, although some people think that penalizing parents for children’s crimes is better solution, I believe that it children should be punished as it will not only make the teenagers become better persons, it will also contribute in the growth of youth.

It is considered by few people that in spite of the need to built new houses, countrysides should be protected from such constructions. To my mind, homes are also necessary and by a little bit of planning, we can construct them without causing much damage to countrysides.
On the one hand, with the growing population, the demand for residences is rising. The cities are already over-crowded and there is always a limit to exploit the space for construction, as people in the cities also need free spaces for parks, gardens, and orchards. Thus, it is not advisable to keep on building in it. Additionally, it will increase pollution levels in the city and affect the health of the residents.
On the other hand, building homes upon uncultivated areas of the countryside is the solution of this problem. This area is lying unused and if it is converted to the residential place, it will ensure the fair distribution of population and will help in reducing pollution and traffic congestion in the cities. Of course, there is some truth in the argument that countrysides should be preserved/ protected. However, in my opinion, the government and environmental activists should sit together and come up with the long-term solution.
To conclude, although countryside protection is highlighted concerned, the government should plan properly to meet the residential needs of the nation.

Despite of the fact that growing enough food to meet escalating population is emerging as a biggest problem, genetically modified food perhaps not be able to match the nutrient benefits derived from organic food. To some extent, genetically modified food is the solution of this problem. However, many people may still prefer to use the organic diet.
Due to the advancement of technology, scientists are now able to grow large amount of crops using genetical modifications. For instance, it is fairly possible to grow crops in a building with the help of artificial sunlight. Moreover, ubiquitous use of modern fertilizers have caused dramatic increase in per acre production. This seems to be a plausible approach towards expanding population. Considering the fact, not only population is increasing, area to fulfil the requirement of shelter is reducing cultivable land as well. Hence, genetical modification provides good indication for masses that they will not be starving in future.
On the other hand, though genetical modification will increase the crops for surging population, it will have negative repercussions on health of people. The reason is, it may cause stomach, cardiovascular or lungs related diseases. In spite of meeting the food requirement of people, the nutritional value will suffer. This is the reason, it is common to see diabetes, stomach or heart related patients in this epoch. Thus, it must be considered that genetically modified food is not a direct alternative of organic food.
Overall, I believe genetically modified crops can have negative impact on the health of people, even though meeting up the food requirement.

Even though various young people want their parents to choose profession for them, others want to pursue their own will. I believe young people should be given autonomy in choosing their own profession. The reason is, young people are more committed towards the profession they choose themself and will not take it for granted.
There are some situations when parents try to dictate a certain profession to their children. For instance, children may not want to become a doctor, but have to take medical studies just for the sake of their parents. This could cause them getting lower marks and being unable to secure admission in a medical university. Hence, it is quite common for younger people to take a profession for granted if not selected on their own, resulting in wastage of time and resources.
Conversely, younger people who choose their profession based on their personal inclination are found to be putting more efforts for the achievement of their goal. Moreover, it also becomes rather a challenge for students to achieve what they decided on their own. To illustrate this, a survey by the alumni office of Lahore University proposed that graduates who took their professions themself were found to be more satisfied in their particular jobs, as compared to those who fulfilled their parents wish. Although in any profession young people may do their task with hark work, commitment will only be present in their desired field.
Thus, I believe young people are more committed to the profession which they choose themself and are less likely to take it for granted. This is the reason, young people should be given independence to choose their desired profession.

In various countries, it is felt important that people own a house rather than use a rented one. I believe this is important due to rising cost of rented house and cost savings as a result of shifting house frequently.
Although using a rented house provides convenience of staying in the area according to varying preference, the rising prices of the rented house is the major pitfall. Renting out a house is a famous business these days and people who do not own a house have to bear the large cost associated with it. To illustrate this, landlords charge high amount of rent and also demand advance rent of several months as a security at the time of house agreement. Moreover, house rent is compounded annually as long as the tenants are staying. Hence, staying in a rented house is costly due to increased financial burden.
Similarly, owning a house is a positive situation, as it also saves a lot of money in shifting house again and again. Living in a rented house means that a need to change house may arise anytime, according to the will of the landlord. Also, shifting a house is not a piece of cake as it requires packing of all household goods and arranging appropraite transportation to shift goods to the new house. Furthermore, various household goods are damaged due to mishandling during shifting. Thus, shifting a house causes extra cost to be borne.
That is why, I believe this is a positive thing to own a house as compared to living in a rented house, other than its high cost.

The bar chart compares the survey results of coffee and tea buying and drinking habits of the people of five Australian cities.
Even though 64% of people of Melbourne went to cafe to have tea or coffee, there purchase related to fresh or instant coffee was not the greatest. The lowest percentage which is 34% is related to the people of Brisbane and Adelaide who bought fresh coffee in the last 4 weeks.

Even though proponents of higher literacy rate feel that university education must be free for all students, I believe it may have negative repercussions on the quality of education provided. To some extent, I agree that free university education must be available to all. Nonetheless, good quality education perhaps not be free.
In this era, university education is considered an important component of people’s life. This is the reason, it should be provided by the government to all the citizens of a country, rather rich or poor. Such as, free university education must be provided by government in return to the taxes paid by the economy. This will not only reduce the literacy rate of the country, yet will also result in reduction of unemployment rate. As the graduates will highly likely start their own businesses, resulting in creating jobs for the masses. Furthermore, it will also have positve impact on the economic development. Hence, university education must be free for all the students.
On the other hand, free university education for all students may not be of good quality. As it is mostly seen, professors and researchers belonging to public universities are not paid well because they do not charge fee to their students. Whereas, private universities pay their employees well due to the reason they meet their finances by charging fees to their students. Thus, distinguished professors and researchers aim to be part of private universities, so that they could earn more according to their skills. For this reason, free university education can only be provided at cost of reduced quality of education. So, university students must be charged a nominal fee in order to maintain the quality of education that is crucial at that stage of their career.
Though I believe that free university education is good for students, in order to maintain the quality nominal fee may be charged.

Sportsmen who are successful earn more as compared to the people in other profession. Though in some cases it seems unfair, in others it is quite justified. The reason is intense hardwork of sportsmen, while ignorance in terms of influential teachers demonstrates injustice.
Sportsmen are given more importance only when they are successful, and being successful means overcoming various hurdles that comes in their way. Sportsmen require intense training and high level of commitment because they have bigger responsibility as compared to people in other profession. For example, tennis player Roger Federer is acclaimed as one of the best tennis star in history that is just because of his hardwork and dedication. Due to his credible sportsmanship, he earns respect not only for himself, but also for his country. Thus, due to greater impact of successful sportsmen they earn more money and respect as compared to people in other profession.
Conversely, there are many influential people belonging to different professions who are not able to earn that much respect or money, as successful sportsmen does. Talking about teachers who not only enlightens the mind of their students, though also represent their country at international platforms receive insufficient reward for their efforts. For instance, the income earned by well-known professors is far little as compared to successful sportsmen even if they have wider impact in terms of their teaching and publication. Hence, it seems unfair that sportsmen are given more importance as compared to educationists.
Despite of the fact sportsmen are mostly well-off based on their hardwork, lesser importance given to teachers seem unfair to me. The reason is, successful sportsmen earn a great deal as compared to people in other professions.

In spite of the fact that assessment of student’s level through exam has been an important topic for debate since quite a long time, unnecessary pressure on young learners and inability to assess actual ability is also a cliche. I believe exams may be effective at some stages of education, but not all. The reason is that, while exams are good measure to evaluate retention rate of students, they may ignore practicality of the subject.
At secondary or higher secondary education level, it is imperative to make sure students retain the knowledge that is provided to them. In order to assess this, exams do play an important part. For example, it is quite common in practice to make accounting students appear in exams to evaluate if they know the method of cash book preparation. Therefore, due to the examination system students have to learn the methods thoroughly so that they could recall the concepts during their exam.
On the other hand, exams ignore the practical aspect of the subject, while just focusing on the theoretical part. In professional or higher studies, it is more important for students to know the practical application of their subject which is implemented in the professional career. For instance, accountant may also be required to handle cash physically through intelligence, rather than by means of formal education tested through exams. Thus, exams perhaps cause students to forgo practical aspect of their subject due to the pressure of learning for the sake of assessments.

Some people argue that frequency of crimes could be reduced by utilizing state of the art technology. I tend to agree with this statement, as advent of the new security tools and latest forensic methods has helped vitally in controlling crime.

Firstly, CCTV cameras have helped society in an innumerable way. These cameras could be installed at any place for surveillance and vigilance. Furthermore, they can focus and record suspicious activities, even in night darkness. In addition to home security, it has been used multi-purposely in industries, educational institutes, and public places. These cameras are major deterrent to crime. Pakistan’s government has launched a Lahore Safe City Project in 2012. Every corner of Lahore city had been covered under the eyes of cameras. As a result, it has helped police to arrest many culprits, and maintain peace in city. According to survey done by Lahore crime department, the crime rate reduced to 35%, after launch of this project, and this project was an instant hit. This also has generated many economic activities in the city.
Secondly, latest forensic labs with up to date equipment and techniques have helped security agencies to detect crime, and solve old criminal cases instantly in an effective way. This also has discouraged people to take law in their hands as it is very easy to go behind perpetrators. Islamabad police department did a study and reveled that after establishment of forensic lab in Islamabad, efficiency of department in solving cases drastically by 20%. This has increased confidence of businessmen and foreign investors. The foreign investment in Islamabad has been increased significantly because of improved law and order situation
To conclude, the latest technology has played a pivotal role in eradicating crime and it is imperative to keep upgrading this technology with the passage of time.

As entertainments keep us fresh and healthy, everyone need to go to good places for make themselves happy. Basically young people should spend their time in entertainments, because they are healthy, they can participate in sports, and other entertainments. In this period they need to work hard for making their future healthy. According to some countries, they have built interesting grounds; moreover, they have built excellent parks. Everyone can go there; furthermore, they can play sports. Although some places have good facilities, people are not taking advantages from them. In my point of view, they are betradding themselves. Playing regularly will help us in our healthiness; however, healthiness will keep us young.
In conclusion, I will say that everyone must spend their free time in entertainments. In addition to this, they will remain young forever. I should say that every regular entertainment must be a part of our life. For example, going to parks daily will make us fresh; moreover, making parties among family members or friends will strengthen our relationship with them, they will feel free at the time of troubles, and they will easily share their problems with others.

Economic growth can cause better education system, availability of goods and more investments in the economy. Although there will be some negative effects on the environment, the benefits will be greater in terms of ending global poverty.

In this era, with the expansion of trade people have so much ease of starting their own business over the internet without a need of heavy investment. For example, e-commerce websites such as amazon, ali baba and ali express have given the opportunity of buying and selling goods with almost few clicks. Nonetheless, with this facility there is also increase in negative impact on the environment. For instance, cigarettes and other tobacco products are widely available and even underage teenagers use such harmful products which is having a negative impact on our environment.

This results in reduction in unemployment giving opportunity to people to improve their living conditions. For example, when central bank reduces interest on loan, people increase borrowing to start their businesses which creates jobs in market and reduces poverty. Conversely, with the expansion of industries there is also an increase in pollution caused by industries resulting in negative impact.

Despite the fact that, economic growth causes negative impact to some extent, but it is indeed a positive way of reducing global poverty. For instance, economic growth also brings better education system which improves the literacy level of people. With improvement in literacy level people can secure jobs that results in improvement in their socio-economic conditions. Such as, many poor people struggle to provide education to their children so that they could get a suitable job for earning bread and butter for family.

Thus, economic growth is a good way of reducing global poverty, in spite of the fact that it can also cause negative impact on the environment in some instances.

Due to the tremendous influence of modernisation,many changes have taken place in the family structure.Nowaday, parents encourage their children to live alone in young age.However,there are some families think that it is remarkable for young people to live with their parents.

On the one hand ,there are a lot of positive aspect to live far from parents for children .Living separate from parents make the youngester independent as well as make them more confident. This provide the opportunity to young people to live a life on their own terms and self-reliant ,which is very crucial skill for a successful life .For instance, managing all the house chores such as cleaning , paying bills,cooking and so on will make them well experienced at learning and managing their confidence.

On the other hand ,we can’t denay the fact that youngsters living away from their family may find themselves in circumstances that may adversely affect their life .Youngsters and inexperienced people in the absence of parental supervision are more likely to fall prey to bad influence as well as in dangerous activities,such as drug addiction or alcohol consumption,which may spoil their career .However ,this situation is likely to take place with youngsters still living with parents. Besides emotional bonding and family relationship can be maintained better life if everyone is living together under one roof.

In my opinion,although encouraging youngster to live alone may lead them to learn various life skills , negative aspects and risk associated with living alone can far outweigh the benefits.
