Capital punishment is a legal process, where a person is sentenced to death by the state as a punishment for capital crimes. Capital crimes in Pakistan may include murder, adultery by married person etc. Most of the countries of the world has now decided to abolish the capital punishment and almost every country has completely removed this punishment for people having age less than eighteen.

Capital punishment is requires due to following reasons, firstly, to set an example for others, Due to Capital punishment of criminals other people get cautious and stay away from these capital crimes. This will help in reducing the number of crimes and hence the number of criminals.

Secondly, it is a financial burden on the state to cater the expense of large amount of criminals for the remaining life in jails from the whole country. People due to poverty may also commit crimes to live under the shed of government expense and live their lives in jails (where the standard of living is higher than their living standard). For the security of these criminals, the state must provide trained soldiers to overlook the security so that criminals cannot escape, this is an additional cost which has to bear.

But on the contrary, we don’t have perfect judicial system on which we can rely upon completely. This may result in taking lives of innocent people. The prejudice behaviour of a judge due to bribing or not providing suffice evidence may give decision of court against the innocent person.

The family of beheaded person will always be finding a way to get revenge from the state which may result in the formation of terrorist groups. The Children of this person will fill desperate and if no one will finance them they will become poor. The children life will get into trouble.

Finally, to conclude my topic I would say that capital punishment should be there in order to remove the criminals from the society. It may affect few persons but the whole society will be relieved from most of criminals.

Capital punishment is a punishment in which a person who is involved in any sort of severe criminal act like murder will be sentence to death. This procedure is practice in number of countries across the globe. These sorts of punishment are brutal and needs to be abolished from our society. I condemn such punishment which takes human life because life is granted once.
Whenever any criminal charged with such punishment, as an ordinary person it could be justified by some evidence but there are number of other aspects. Such as the person who did not made such criminal action can be guilt on the basis of complex laws, there is also possibility of tempering actual evidence which cause the innocent person charged with punishment and lost their lives. There are number of examples in which innocent people lost their life due to capital punishment.
We are living in a society where we encounter with different people having either good or bad character thus such criminal acts are inevitable. In my opinion any authority or person has no right to take life of other people either legally or religiously. Because we all know how much important our life is and it is granted only once there is not second chance. Despite of giving death penalty to the guilty person it’s better to put him in a jail where he will be punished for his crime. Providing very bad life in jail, the criminal may realize about his guilt and he would learn a lesson.
There are not any perfect techniques to judge any person weather he/she is criminal or not. Because real criminals always find ways to set free from punishment by using complexities of legislation. This makes me stand against capital punishment.

The argument is comparing the spending pattern of middle aged customers and youngers. They claim that middle aged people spend more on department store product i.e 39% of their retail expenditure and the younger people spend only 25%. It suggests store managers to attract middle aged customers more than younger ones as middle aged customers will increase within next decade. This claim is somehow correct but it could be more persuasive if the comparison was made with the information about the sectors of age group in the area. For example, the middle aged people can be only 10% of the society and younger may be about 40%. So this missing information makes the argument vague and less persuasive.
In any business defining the target market is the most important and primary step. Market share of a certain target market is also very necessary to keep in view. Niche marketing is a good strategy but it requires massive amount of capital to be profitable. If your target market does not make a good market share then it becomes very hard to survive. Similarly market share of middle aged people and youth is different and it varies from area to area and country to country. Burgeoning companies mainly focus on the target market and their market share keeps on increasing. For example, in Pakistan McDonalds focuses more on kids, as the population of Paksitan is rapidly increasing so the market share of kids are increasing which has helped McDonalds to maintain a strong hold in the market.
Secondly the percentage given by the statement gives an unclear view of the issue. It asserts that middle aged people spend 39% of the retail expenditure on department store products. This percentage of expenditure cannot be generalized as the income level of people varies. 39% of the income of a person may be $800 and 25% of the income of any other person may be $2000. We cannot determine from the statement how much people spend by only a percentage. The store managers had made this report on very indistinct facts. It could be improved if the income level generally was presented of middle aged group and youth of the society.
The store managers want to take advantage of the trend by replacing the products which attract youth with the products for middle aged people because in future middle aged people will increase. This impractical proclamation is overlooking the fact the within next decade children will be turned into youth as well. This again depends on the society trends in some societies children are more than middle aged people and vice versa. This again cannot be taken as a broad view unless age division in certain society is studied carefully.
This indistinct statement contains fallacious claims. The store managers should study the age division, market share of their target market and income level of their target market in order to compete more efficiently and to define long term plans, which eventually will make them better than their competitors.

Management of companies has always been a dissension throughout the world of business. Different organizations have varying opinions regarding the issue and of course based on solid reasons. While some believe that it is efficient to have a centralized organizational structure whereas others deduce that decentralization is the solution. In the preceding statement, the author claims that “closing down field offices and conducting all the operations from a single location would improve profitability”, although this might not be entirely false but the author has presented a rather poorly reasoned argument, based on groundless justifications and questionable assumptions, therefore this argument cannot be accepted as valid.

The principle issue with this argument is that there is absolutely no evidence to buttress the claim regarding the profitability. “When the company was operating from one location it was more profitable than it is today”, here the author made a bold claim favoring the centralized structure but in absence of any supporting evidence which appears to be more of a wild guess. There are countless other factors which constitute to the profitability of a company rather than just its organizational structure which the author fails to consider here. Additionally the author claims that when Apogee Company will revert back to its previous structure which is a centralized system, it will automatically start yielding profits by just cutting up costs and practicing enhanced employee supervision. Even if this is the case, the statement lacks any sort of legitimate evidence to strengthen the claim therefore rendering it objectionable.

Furthermore, the author has made several assumptions which remain controversial. The primary assumption being that in the past, the company was more profitable due to centralization which remains unproven; there could be numerous other reasons apart from merely having a centralized structure. In addition to this, it is also assumed that the company’s current organizational structure is the leading cause of its feeble profitability which also appears to be absurd without any competent reasoning. There can be multiple other bases for the current issue of profitability rather than just the company’s decentralized structure. Another baseless assumption made here is that changing the company’s structure back to a centralized one would lead to reduced costs and better employee supervision but on what grounds? There is no adequate rationale provided for the claim to be justified. The author has weakened his argument by making unreasonable assumptions and failing to provide decent explanation of a relation between company’s profitability and company’s organizational structure.

While the author’s argument may carry some weight in his assumptions and claims due to which it cannot be labeled as entirely incorrect. The statement would have carried more convincing prowess if the claims had sufficient supporting evidence such as company’s previous financial records proving the provided claims, future projections of the company’s profits or a cost-benefit analysis of the both centralized and decentralized organizational structures. Likewise, the assumptions in the statement would have been considered acceptable if they were proved either by detailed explication or by logical analysis. Although there are several flaws with author’s reasoning at present but with adequate evidential information and sufficient clarifications, this statement could be improved significantly.

In a coda, the author’s absurd argument stands on baseless premises and dubious assumptions that render his conclusion invalid and without merit. In order to make the argument more acceptable and more convincing the author should reevaluate his assumptions, restructure the whole argument, eliminate the loopholes, properly explicate his assumptions and provide sufficient evidential support. Without the mentioned alterations, the poorly reasoned argument will most likely convince very few, if any, people.

The statement presented in the annual reports has a conclusion drawn on baseless assumptions. It has been assumed that “costs of processing goes down because as organizations learn how to do things better, they become more efficient” which is not even close to the truth. The costs of processing do not automatically go down by itself which the author has carelessly assumed here. The costs have to be managed and kept under control, apart from this; there is no evidence what so ever that if a company is old enough then it must have its costs under control which itself is a bold assumption. Companies have cost control departments, cost control mangers and much more to keep everything profitable; one does not simply wait to let the costs go down automatically. There are many instances where the costs of processing has gone up over the period of time, take the automobile industry for example, their cost of processing did not go down over the years, in fact it increased due to rising steel prices and labor charges.
To support the absurd argument, the food processing sector is compared with the color film making sector, the two sectors massively differ from each other. In fact, they rarely possess anything similar to each other. Film making and food has nothing in common, the both sectors have different raw materials, workforce requiring totally separate types of skill and entirely different kind of target market. Entirely different kinds of methods apply to food processing industry as opposed to color film making. In order to make a fair comparison, some industry similar to food industry or even better, a company which is already present in the food industry ought to be compared with Olympic Foods rather than color film making. If a company in the similar field of business is used in comparison to support the given statement then it would carry a lot more weightage. Since there is no knowledge or evidence of such similar company or industry this given statement carry no more value than a personal opinion.
In a nutshell, in order to prove that Olympic Foods costs of processing will go down in the near future there need to be proper facts and figures to support the statement such as historical data of the company’s previous financial record or a detailed analysis of the cost projected for the future. Furthermore, a similar business sector should be compared to strengthen the argument rather than an unrelated random business sector.

Assignment.

The summation of the report is making an ambiguous comparison of two entirely different industries to behave similarly. The reasons given in the statements are not cogent enough to convince the reader that food processing industry will lower its processing cost just on the base of experience.

First of all it is not necessary the costs go down due to experience. There are many reasons of reduction of cost which are being ignored. For instance, old technology gets outdated and gets lower in demand that’s why price is reduced. Moreover, it is dependent on the inflation as well. Increase in the price of electricity will increase the cost of processing.

Secondly, the comparison is made with the color film processing which is altogether a different industry. The change in cost in that industry depends on the technology. As technology gets advanced it becomes more efficient and sometimes it affects otherwise i.e. it increases the cost as new technology when launched is expensive. So we cannot conclude that with time and change of technology prices become lower.

The figures in the example given are not showing the reduction of price as well. It says in 1970 cost was 50 cents for five day service and in 1984 cost was 20 cents per day. This shows increase in the price 5 day service would cost 100 cents. So the fact presented here is erroneous as well. This statement is very hard to believe and it is not at all convincing.

In the food industry costs depend on the raw material and it fluctuated on daily basis. No one can determine that cost will be lower and profits will be higher. This statement is highly decisive for the stake holders because long experience doesn’t necessarily means the better cost effectiveness.

In the report presented to the board of directors, opinions are voiced regarding the responsibility of the recent falls of quality. It is suggested that the qualification of the purchasing department’s manager fall short on what is required, which leads to inefficient practices. In turn, the author feels that a more scientific minded individual from the research department would be a suitable candidate to handle the affairs more efficiently. While, the information provided should be taken seriously, there are obvious defects with the line of reasoning that should be analyzed as well.

Firstly, the author suggests that the falling revenues can be explained by the delays in manufacturing simply because the dates coincide. While, this certainly could be a reason, there is no proof presented. Additionally, there could be varying factors that could lead to reduced revenues that have little to do with manufacturing. Competition, availability of substitutes and market conditions all have an effect on the profitability of the firm. Unless a clear correlation between the revenue and manufacturing delays, or even the effects of internal failings, is researched by gathering evidence, such assumptions should not be made.

The author further goes on to say that poor planning in purchasing metals is plays a huge role in the manufacturing delay. This accusation is backed with no research in the matter. Purchasing metals is one process of manufacturing and all departments need to be looked at before a conclusion is drawn. Purchasing metals could simply be delayed due to the supplier’s own delay. In such a case, the purchasing department cannot be faulted and the company could simply change their supplier to fix the problem.

Using the arguments above, the author recommends that the purchasing department’s manager should be transferred to another department. It is stated that the manager is a capable with good business knowledge, psychology and sociology, and would do well in the sales department. However, part of being a good manager is knowing how to handle situations during problems. If the manager thought there was a problem, then he could simply delegate it to the more knowledgeable person or take help from them. However, replacing a manager with the scientist will not be suitable, as managers are more suitable for running managerial tasks. A scientist might not be able to adept to running a managerial department. Thus, his skills would fail in the purchasing department.

In conclusion, the author fails to provide a convincing argument that would convince the board of directors to enact the recommendation. A more valid argument would be backed by evidence and look at the problem in a broader way. Other departments and external environments should be looked at. Until then, any action against the purchasing department manager would be premature.

The announcement by a publisher in The Mercury, a weekly newspaper, seek to raise awareness about the current situation of the firm and provide a recommendation to rectify the current crisis. The publisher states that The Mercury has seen a decline in readership by 10,000 readers, and attributes the lowered popularity to its competitor’s pricing. The author states that low price of The Bugle is reason for the newspaper’s success and recommends The Mercury to follow in their steps. The reasoning of the publisher fails to provide a substantive case to support the recommendation.

First off, the publisher assumes that The Mercury’s decline in readership is a result of The Bugle’s low price. However, there is no evidence to support this theory, since no statistical evidence about the competitor’s overtime popularity. It is very possible that The Bugle could be facing the same issues, due to a decrease in readership of newspapers in general. The shift to other mediums, such as the internet, could be the real reason behind the lowered readership. The publisher has failed to take other mediums of getting news, which are considerably faster than a weekly newspaper, into account. Hence, the assumption of the lowered popularity due to The Bugle or the expensive price is just an assumption based on little evidence.

Secondly, the publisher claims that the reduction in price would lead to an increase in circulation, and in return, advertiser. However, reducing the price could have the opposite effect. Readers and advertisers might see the price reduction as a degradation of standards, and might lose interest. Cheaper is usually associated with cheaper in price and quality, a trait that The Mercury would not benefit from. Thus, reduction in price would probably be damning for the newspaper, rather than a profitable strategy.

In addition, advertisers in particular don’t simply sell us their adverts just for random max exposure to the public. Many advertisers prefer to advertise in newspapers that cater to their niche audience that represent their target market. More circulation dilutes the niches a newspaper can cater to, making it less appealing for major advertisers that would go for smaller newspapers that still match their customer profiles.

The publisher gives the impression that by simply increasing their circulation, advertisers and success would come knocking after, but provides little factual research to validate their proposal as beneficial. A more in-depth research into the newspaper niche and the audience The Mercury caters to, would help identify the problems the company faces. Only after the source of the problems are identify, can be company come up with a strategy to battle its lowered readership. However, as it stands, the publisher does not provide a convincing argument and further research is needed before any decisions regarding price are made.

A recommendation in the form of a memorandum is presented by the city’s council for reallocation of the art budget to fund public television instead. The basis for their argument is that while the attendance of museums has seen a rise due to the visual arts programs on television, public television is threatened by budget cuts that would put an end to these shows—lowering museum goers. Their advice is to invest in a more profitable field: Public Television. This argument fails to be convincing for a couple of reasons.

Firstly, it is assumed that the 15% increase in number of museum goers has a link to the visual arts programs on television. While, the statement may be true, it is possible that the increase in museum goers, could simply be a result of museum advertising, tourism increase or a general interest in arts by the citizens. It is difficult to correlate the percentage of museum attendees that not only watch art programs, but visited the museum as a result of it. Much like the age old question, “What came first; the chicken or the egg?”; a cause-and-effect relationship cannot be established with the current information.

Additionally, the quoted researches have a difference of 5 years, and unless the same group of individuals are asked the same questions with differing answers, it is difficult to state the change as a solid fact regarding the change in viewership. The first group could have fewer art lovers than the second one. Had the second one filled out the previous survey, the results could have been much different.

Lastly, there is a demand of visual arts programs on television. While the quoted study states a 15% increase in the last 5 years, no information of the total number of people interested in visual arts programs is given. Also, there is an increasing demand for such programs. If the supply if cut off, people would visit more museums as a result of the shortage. Advertisers and television stations would be forgo profits, if the increase in funding for public television came at the cost of funding for the arts.

In conclusion, the argument lacks the evidence that could make the council’s case stronger. Had the memorandum been backed by statistical information, such as by conducting a survey of how many people would encourage the recommendation, the argument would have been stronger. As it is right now, it lacks the quantitative evidence needed to make an educated decision about the funds allocation.

In the memo sent by Apogee’s business department, a strong concern for the business’ well-being and profitability is voiced, along with a recommendation to help minimize the cost. The business department feels that closing down the company’s field offices and reverting back to its former single office operation, is the best way to increase profitability. They argue this positive outcome could be effectively achieved by cutting costs and improving employee supervision. However, there are a few flaws within the presented argument.

The business department associates its small operation to be the reason for its profitability, but aside from the empirical claim, there is no evidence given about how different the profitability in terms of expenses has been over the course of its development. It is possible that a few thousands of losses might be a huge loss for the company back in the day, but now, a few thousands could be a necessary expense for advancement and progress. In addition, costs aren’t the only factor that affects profitability. So, their view that having a single location is the only way to achieve profitability, is an oversimplification of the problem.

Aside from not being backed by factual research, it could simply be impractical for the company to take jump back to its former position. Apogee’s expansion would have resulted in an increase in clients. A smaller firm would not be able to cater to the larger client base covered by multiple field offices. In addition, competitors could simply take advantage of the company’s restructuring and snatch a few accounts from Apogee, which would add to their losses.

Thirdly, the business department supports their recommendation by listing lowered costs and greater supervision to be a great way to increase profitability. As stated above, not only will the business be suffering losses from its loss of market hold, profitability is influenced by several factors. Leadership and management styles, if inefficient, could be a result of lowered profitability. But, in such a case, fixing the problem, instead of reverting back to a better time, would be less costly and more beneficial for the company. It would help them learn for the future and ensure that their business runs strong for decades to come—no matter how much expansion is done by the firm in order to gain more market share.

Hence, while the company might be going through hard times, shutting down their field offices without analyzing the real reason behind real costs, would be an expense the company might not be able to survive. The current argument could be made stronger by providing statistical proofs and trajectories of future growth, as well as coming up with a strategy on how reverting back to its single-form would be taken on. Until then, the company should be weary about implementing any such change that could result in greater losses than they are currently suffering.

In their 25th annual report, Olympic Foods provides a positive outlook to its stockholders through discussion of its battle plan for the future. In it, the frozen food company talks about how it aims to increase its profitability using the theory of economies of scale; whereby, the cost of production goes down with time. While the company may very well be able to gain profitability as it describes, there are a few assumptions and explanations made in the report that make their argument weak.
Firstly, Olympic Foods assumes that economies of scale would occur as a result of their experience. While, the company might be learning internally, there are a lot of factors that affect profits. In addition, there is no proof to the claims of learning provided by Olympic Foods. So, it is very possible that instead of economies of scale, diseconomies might occur that might lower profitability by increasing costs of production.
Secondly, the example mentioned in the report talks about a comparison between the food industry and the film processing industry; however, it adds little supporting evidence to the argument. A film processing industry cannot be used to substantiate a claim within the food industry. A lot could have changed for the film industry, such as an increase in demand, newer technologies for the field or other productive efficiency increases. Advantages that could not be applied to the food industry or anyone outside the film processing industry. Likewise, there could be expenses within the food industry that the film industry does not have to deal with. There is no link between the two industries and thus, this comparison should be considered invalid.

Thirdly, Olympic foods considers its longer experience a means for cost minimization and profit maximization. But, there are two fallacies in this statement. Olympic food celebrates its twenty-fifth year, but there is no way to know where on the life cycle the company is currently present. So, the company’s long experience could simply be a start of their journey. After all, there are many companies well over 100 years in business that are still going as strong as ever. Additionally, lowering costs does not always result in maximization of profits. Factors such as competition and availability of substitutes, affect profitability of companies.
While the predictions made by Olympic Foods could be true, there are no proofs provided by the company to back their claims. A more wholesome report would contain more valid correlations and statistical evidence, as well as the learning mechanism used within the firm in order to boost profitability and lower costs. Until then, it is unlikely that stockholders would get reassurance reading through this current report.

Not only is the physical burden of carrying books around lessened, they are also relieved a little from the financial stress that comes with paying for schools and colleges.

Nevertheless, the surge in electronic books has not had an impact on the popularity of public libraries. Many people, children in particular, still enjoy and prefer visiting and borrowing books from libraries. As children are in their growing stages, parents feel that reading off from a computer and looking at the computer screen for longer periods of time adds strain to their eye muscles. This can be a contributing factor in developing weaker eyesight as they are already subjected to radiation emitted from televisions.

Although old things have a charm of their own, we cannot deny the handiness of books available on the internet. The world is rapidly adapting to and capitalizing on tools such as online books after assessing its benefits, which means that slowly, conventional forms of reading will be redundant.

Images are transported from devise to devise at the speed of light, andcontinue to exist long after they have been deleted.The history of communication dates back to prehistory, with significant changes in communication technologies (media and appropriate inscription tools) evolving in tandem with shifts in political and economic systems, and by extension, systems of power.[1] Communication can range from very subtle processes of exchange, to full conversations and mass communication. Human communication was revolutionized with speech approximately 100,000 years ago[citation needed]. Symbols were developed about 30,000 years ago,[2] and writing about 5000 years ago.

Communication means the sharing of one’s thoughts, ideas, intention, emotions, problems, joys and greeting with others. With the advancements in technology, world have become a global village. People can easily communicate with each other via mobile, telephone, internet or fax. In old days, people used to communicate through letters or mostly by face to face meeting.
Some people think that face to face communication is better than emails, letters, and telephone calls. As far as I am concerned, I think latter is better than former due to following reasons.
Man is a social animal, he cannot live isolated. Now a days, people are living busy life. But they also need to communicate with their friends, relative and family. In these circumstances telephone calls, emails and letters are best ways to contact them because by this means people can connect with others, no matter how far they are. It does not take much time to make a call via phone or internet.
Communication through digital devices like telephones, laptops, android phones, PC tablets is also more convenient in case of any emergency than meeting face to face, which require a long time to contact with others.
Contact through emails, phone calls or letter is also more useful in case when we have to communicate with someone who is in abroad. In old days, it was almost impossible for people to contact with their loved ones who were in abroad.
In addition, sometimes people have to share something which they cannot say directly to others, in this case, they find more convenient to communicate through telephone or e-mail, in order avoid any embarrassing consequence.
However, communication via calls, letters or e-mail also has some disadvantages as sometimes messages are not conveyed in detail and many misunderstandings are created among people. These misunderstandings can weaken relations among friends, family members and colleagues.
On the other hand, in case of face to face contact, chances of misunderstandings are less because people can talk in detail, and they can also see each other’s facial expressions and emotions. But most of time direct meeting is not possible for people because it requires a lot of time which is very hard due to their busy routine of life.
To sum up, connecting through emails, letters or phone calls is more convenient for people because it’s a faster way of communication as compared to face to face meeting.

In present days, thinking of people has become very materialistic. People find happiness in material things like big houses, cars, expensive clothes and luxurious lifestyle. Therefore, everyone is trying to make more and more money by any means. Money has become most important thing in almost everyone’s life. No doubt money is very essential to live a good life.
Many people work because they need money, however, there are some other reasons for which people work, these are as follows.
Today almost everyone is facing difficult and depressing situations in his life. The people want to keep themselves busy in order to get out of their depression. Another reason for doing job is to get practical knowledge of one’s profession. Because books just give theoretical knowledge but practical application of this knowledge broadens thinking of a person. People learn many new things about his profession so their learning is enhanced.
Many rich people do social work because they feel satisfied by helping needy people. Many artists and comedians work without any pay in theaters just to entertain public. They feel happy by bringing smile on others face.
Some people do not have confidence and lake the ability of communication with other people. Such kinds of people work to overcome these drawbacks of their personality.
Some people are gregarious. They are fond of making friends. They enjoy in having more and more friends and they love to interact with different kind of people; job is the place where they get chance to communicate with the people of different background, different thinking and different age.
To sum up, besides earning money, many people work to make new friends, to gain self confidence, to improve knowledge of their profession and to help needy people.

In last few decades, man has made tremendous progress in every field like science, technology, economy etc. This progress has facilitated people in many ways but if we observe closely it is not always good. It has many demerits as well, which are constantly deteriorating our surroundings.
Many people think that progress is always good but they do not see the other side of picture which is far worse. According to my opinion development in any field is constantly exerting negative effects on our planet’s atmosphere.
For example, man is destroying agricultural land by developing industries on it. These industries are environment friendly because smoke from these industries is polluting the air. Waste chemicals from industries are contaminating the water and drinking water resources are decreasing. And this contaminated water is used to irrigate the crops these chemical are also absorbed in them which are very dangerous for human health.
Beside industries, pollution is also increased due to increase in number of vehicles. Increased pollution has also very hazardous environmental effects like “global warming effect” due to which earth’s temperature is constantly increasing greatly with every passing day; as a result ice from glaciers is melting. There is danger that these increasing water bodies may engulf many big continents in future.
Although the man has made many developments in current age but if we look closely we are living in worse environment than our ancestors. Today air and water is more polluted than the earlier period; this has resulted in many dangerous diseases of lungs and stomach.
Food is also impure these days. However, development in food technology has improved the quantity but it has reduced the nutritional value of food.
Another negative effect is advancements in nuclear weapons technology. Every country is making dangerous weapons like atom bombs, nuclear football etc, in order to become more powerful than other countries. The whole world is at the risk of nuclear war and if it happens; it would destroy the whole population on earth.
Another great progress which man has mad is in the field of information technology. Although internet has facilitated the youngsters and students in many ways but it has also some negative effects. Some people waste their time in watching dramas and movie on internet and some objectionable content is also available on some websites which has very negative effects on the immature minds of students and teenagers.
In conclusion, progress is not as good as it seems. It has many side effects on earth’s environment and also on the lives of people like poor hygienic conditions, pollution, risk of nuclear war, poor health and many more.

Transport is the movement of people, animals and goods from one place to another. Transport is very important for the development of civilizations. Modes of transport are air, water and roads. Roads are used for the transportation of automobiles, bikes, cycles etc. Air is the mode of transportation for airplanes, jets, helicopters etc. And ships use water as a mode of their transportation.
If I were asked to choose one of the vehicles among automobiles, bikes or airplanes which has changed people’s lives; I will definitely give my answer in favor of airplanes because of following reasons.
In old days, before the invention of airplanes when people had to move from one country to another, they used boats or ships. Once the people left for other country, they did not have any connection to the people of their country or their family. In those days, there were no radars for detecting upcoming storm or suddenly emerging high waves in water. So the travelling was not safe those days. Moreover it takes several days or weeks and sometimes even several months to reach the desired destination.
While on the other hand invention of airplanes have made travelling much safe and comfortable. There is control room in airplanes from where staff remains in connection to their colleagues in the control room on land. The airplane company’s staff updates the location of airplane on its website so the family members of a person who is travelling on the plane can also see the location of airplane.
In addition, radars are fitted on the planes which give information about any storm or upcoming bad weather condition so the pilot changes the route accordingly. In this way travelling has become much safer. Also the air routes between different countries and between cities in a country are shorter than others. So, air travelling take less time to reach desired destination. It saves a lot of time.
Beside people, on cargo planes goods can also be easily transported safely and in very short time, from one country to another country or within the country. It has great effects on the economic development of a country.
To sum up, airplane is one of the most remarkable inventions which have changed people lives significantly by providing a safe, easy and comfortable way of travelling.

In the present days, life of almost everyone has become very hectic and boring due to busy routine either because of study, job or household works. Everyone needs enjoyment to get rid of this boring routine. Some people have interest in sports, some like music, while others enjoy watching dramas or movies. Some people enjoy these events live more than watching the same events on TV.
As far as I am concerned, I always prefer to watch sports, dramas or music concert on TV. I enjoy these events more on TV than attending them live.
Firstly, in order to attend a live event you have to buy a ticket. There might be a long queue and you must have to wait for a long time to get a ticket.
In addition, you must have to reach atleast an hour before show timing if the hall is not near to your house and if, by chance, you got stuck into traffic on the way to the hall or stadium, you would definitely miss some part of the game or performance.
Moreover, if the show is not interesting, all of your money and your precious time would be wasted. There would be lot of noise of people during live performance, so the voice of the performer cannot be heard clearly. If you get a seat in the end row of the hall or stadium, you are not able to watch clearly who is performing or in case of sports event you would able to see which player is playing. These are the drawbacks of attending live performance which spoil enjoyment of a show.
On the other hand, watching a performance on TV is more enjoyable. You do not have to buy a ticket. You can also enjoy coffee while sitting relaxed on sofa in your TV lounge. There would not be any noise of people during performance; you can enjoy the sow in a quite relaxing environment of your home. And if the show is not interesting; you would have option of change the channel, in this way you would not have any regret of money and time wastage.
To sum up, I do not agree that live performance is more enjoyable than watching the same event on TV because I always enjoy a performance in a relaxed environment of my home, sitting on a sofa with cup of coffee in my hand.

The main objective of a business is to make more and more profit. Employees play most important role in success of a business organization. So, a company must be careful in appointing workers. Some people believe that a business should hire employees for entire life while others think that new workers must be appointed time to time.
According to my opinion, business organizations should not hire workers for whole life because of following reasons.
Firstly, workers are like backbone of a business. If companies heir workers for entire life, they would not work efficiently, because they do not have fear of losing job. Therefore, they would become lazy in performing their duties. In addition, they would not try to improve their work because of the thinking of secure job for their whole life. So, how a business can stand with an inefficient backbone?
Just like human backbone needs fresh blood to work appropriately, business also requires new employees for its efficiency. New workers definitely bring new and innovative ideas for company.
Secondly, workers would definitely perform their duties properly if they have a fear of being replaced by new workers. They would try to put maximum effort to run an organization.
But this is not always the case, sometimes people cannot perform well because of fear of losing job at any time. The best solution for this problem is that a business organization should offer job security atleast for one year and at the same time company should also made an agreement that the organization have the authority to terminate its worker if he does not show good performance during his first year. In this way workers would try to work hard for making profit for business. He will feel secure for one year and at the same time he would have the fear of losing job due to poor performance.
In conclusion, business should not hire employees for whole life because in this case workers would not do work hard because they do not have any fear of losing job.

In our everyday life we have to face many situations which require decisions to be made. Decision is the act or process that helps to reach our conclusion or destination. Decisions can be complex or can be very simple it depends upon the situation which a person face. Some people may support that decision that are made after careful planning can be in result of success and vice verse. As far as I am concerned, decisions that should make quickly, not always be wrong.
Firstly, life has become very fast. A person has to complete a large number of tasks in short durations. For example what to eat and cook in the dinner, lunch, watch a movie or to study, wear what type of clothes, either went on a ceremony or not. There are a large number of day-to-day decisions that we have to make without wasting a long time in careful planning. I share my experience, once my uncle was injured in a road accident, alot of his blood has been lost and he need blood on urgent basis. There wasn’t any time that i think for a long time to make the decision, i quickly decide to call all of friends to arrange blood for him.
Similarly, once i was going to another city with my family. Suddenly some robbers stop our car by force of power i-e pistol. They said to give them all the money, watch, cellphone and other material that we possessed and they threatened to shoot us if we resist against their orders. So, we quickly made a decision to give them all those things and if we thought for a long time to made it then this long term planned decision would be result of our death or wrong.
However, in some circumstances and situations we can also not deny the importance of planned decisions, and quick decisions can be a fault. For example, When children wants to choose their area of interest subject or the choose of university, profession. These decisions are very important and crucial because the whole life a person depends upon it.
In conclusion, the making of decision is totally depends on the situation and circumstances. But saying that quick decisions are always wrong, i totally disagree with this statement.

Overpopulation is an undesirable factor that means a large number of humans on earth.Overpopulation is one of the major drawback for the progress of the Country because a boomed number of individuals interfere in country’s economy.Overpopulation leads a country to lack of Education,shortage of food,electricity,clothing,medical facilities,environmental pollution,increased poverty and illiteracy,retards the development and progress of country,and deplete the natural resources.

Education, sports and recreations these are all those elements that determines a country progress. Sports and recreations are important because these are require to make people physically and mentally healthy and if we have healthy community its mean that country can achieve their progressive goals. Some people may support that government should spend more subsidize on sports and recreation. As far as I am concerned, education is the main tool for a success of a nation. For my opinion i have many reasons to support it.
Firstly, education is the main necessity of life. If we look in the past when there was a low rate of education people don’t have the remedies for curable disease. For example. Tuberculosis it remains incurable for many years. But just because of development in education, research its possible treatment invented and thousands of life have been saved.
Similarly, to cope with this fast and growing competitive environment education is the key for survival of a nation and making of their own place in this world. For example in Asian countries the food safety and food security was really very alarming. But due to education and continuous research many possible techniques were developed for example improvement in agriculture methods, transport availability and different food growing drugs that increase the production of food without hazards, thus the Asian countries are now coping with this situation. There food safety and security both conditions has been stabilized then in past.
Similarly, if we look on the technology that has changed our life’s fully is just an invention of education and research. Education also helps to improve the behavior of a nation’s people, and provide new opportunities for employment. These conditions helps to improve the situation of people’s life and rate of crimes can also be reduced.
Alternatively, if we look on the sports and recreation, a government should also spend money on this element because it can not only produce a healthy society but also helps to generate income or revenue for a country. For example recreation places helps to attract a large number of visitors, ans sports people also help to recognize their country amongst all.
In conclusion, a government should spend subsidize on sports, recreation but in comparison to these more money, funds should be utilized on the education, research as these are require to fulfill our basic needs and play a key role in improvement of life.

University and college is a place where students get knowledge, information, skills, both practical and theoretical knowledge. Learning is a lifetime process, at every step of life the person is learning something new. Therefore its the right of all the human beings to gain knowledge, and its the duty of concerned people i-e teachers, government to provide opportunities so that everyone can get knowledge at every level Some people think that college and university education should be only for high grade students. As far as i am concerned, there should be no discrepancy in this regard. I have some reasons to support my opinion.
Firstly, at university and college the students get better opportunity to meet with highly competent professors and teachers. These teachers try to facilitate all level students to put their efforts in getting high grades.The students can be in better state to gain knowledge instead of school level, as it was the stage when most of the students don;t have their clear goals to achieve for,b therefore some of the students become lazy and get lower grades. But when they entered the college or university they have mature enough that they better understand their goals and thatsway more motivated to gain knowledge.
Secondly, at university level their are alot of educational facilities are available. For example in my university there are fully equipped laboratories, demonstration halls etc. So, if specific students will get the opportunity to study in college and university it will be unfair situation for them.
Thirdly, the college and university knowledge gain opportunity should be provided to all the students, because this is the time when all the students wants to work hard, as they are self-motivated because they know that high grades will give them best possibility to succeed in professional life. So, mostly those students who are usually lazy during school life become hardworking and more serious in their education matters. The companies usually in the search of high degree students, so everyone should be provide this opportunity.
In conclusion, i fully agreed that university higher education should be provided to all the students, because its the right of every individual to gain knowledge. This opportunity will help them to gain and improve knowledge and get better jobs.

No nation can progress without preserving its history. If a country destroys its monuments; how would future generations know about the lifestyle of their forefathers, their culture, their way of living and old civilizations and social values?
Some people think that historical buildings are useless and they should be replaced by modern and more stylish buildings. According to my opinion, historic buildings should never be destroyed as these are precious asset of a nation. As we all try to preserve our personal assets on every cost; all of us should also strongly oppose any attempt to ruin our historical national assets either by the government or a private company .
There are many advantages of preserving old historic buildings. These provide knowledge about culture and civilization of a nation. These are very important source of transmitting knowledge to future generations.
Beside this, if old buildings are kept in good condition, these would attract more tourists and tourism industry would be flourished. More guide would needed for these tourists so it will create more jobs for people.
Moreover it will help history students in knowing about the history of old buildings by visiting them rather than just studying their course books. Old buildings will give more detailed knowledge about past architecture, type of material which was used in construction. The designs made on the walls of historic buildings tell about different types of art at that time. So, historic buildings are also very important for students.
Some private companies consider that by replacing the old buildings with modern buildings would generate more money for them. This is true to some extent but if private companies rehabilitate old buildings it would create more profit for them. For example, if a private company invests to make a food place in old building while keeping its original form as such; more and more people will visit the place for knowing history of that place and they would also enjoy food at restaurant.
So, I favor that old buildings should not be destroyed or replaced with modern buildings because these are representative of culture, civilization and social values of a nation. Government and private companies should work together to rehabilitate these historical places as it is beneficial both for tourism industry and for making profit for private companies.

If I get a large amount of money by my good luck and I have to choose between jewelry and a live concert; I would like to buy my favorite blue diamond ring for the following reasons.
Being a female, I am very interested in collecting beautiful jewelry. I like diamond jewelry the most. According to my personal opinion, a female’s beauty is incomplete without delicate and precious jewelry.
Another reason is that, buying jewelry is best form of saving money. If at sometimes, I have financial crisis; I would have an option of selling my jewelry to get out of this difficult situation.
On the other hand, if I spend money on buying a ticket for attending my favorite live concert; it will be used just for one concert. I would have to buy new ticket every time. I can enjoy this concert on TV at my home. I would definitely enjoy show in my TV lounge while sitting more relaxed on sofa. Therefore I would never spend money for watching live concert because it would be more enjoyable to watch the live show on TV at home.
That’s why if I m lucky enough to get a large amount of money, I would definitely buy my favorite jewelry. Because I can enjoy wearing precious jewelry in parties and I can also sale it whenever I need money in any difficult situation. So, I can save money in the form of jewelry.

Beside this, people should also save money for their old age so they would not become burden for their family. Sometimes people consider their parents burden when they are old and not able to earn. For this time every person should have some savings.
Although people should also spend money for their recreation but they should also keep handsome amount for difficult time or for their old age.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that people should not spend all the money for their enjoyment without thinking about their future needs. In this way they would not need to take money in their difficult time or they would not become burden on their family in old age.

They should not become depressed if they face difficulties in new place rather they should go on further. In this way, they would learn how to get out of difficult situations.
In addition, if people are not conservative and believe in change in their life; they can enjoy many beautiful places in the world. They can interact with the people of different culture, civilizations and they would definitely gain knowledge about different people.

High school is the level of schooling that provides the students with the secondary level of education till intermediate. Schools must be built in communities. Communities are the area in a town, city where a lot of people live together share norms, values and make cultures.
I have heard that the new high school is going to built in my community. It is a very good decision as before this students have to move to different towns and cities for higher education. After hearing this news all students are desperately waiting for it. Government should pay attention for building high schools in the areas where there are shortages of educational institutes in order to promote education and to remove illiteracy from the country.I hope government would hire qualified and experienced teachers to compete the modern techniques and technology of the changing world. I have also completed my high school education from the city near to my town. I still remember that hard time when I have to stay at hostel,compel to eat tasteless mess and listen the rebuke of the warden. I have already faced such hardships during my study.So, I want the next generation should not face such difficulties. They should stay at their own homes and study calmly in a relaxed environment.
so, I always support those plans that are related to the educational point of view and are for the progress of education.

First, deforestation is being increased by humans. People are cutting trees for different purposes like using as fuel, making furniture and furnishing their houses: but the rate of growing new trees is lesser than that of cutting. As we all know that trees have many beneficial effects for environment like they provide oxygen and absorb very dangerous gas carbon dioxide from nature. This phenomenon is very important both for human breathing and for protecting ozone layer which is a defensive layer against harmful rays from sun.
Another harmful effect resulting from human activity is pollution. It includes both air and water contamination. No of industries, cars, buses and other vehicle are continuously increasing day by day and smoke from all these is making earth’s atmosphere more and more polluted. Although all these facilities have made human life more comfortable but they are not safe for earth’s environment.
In addition, the most dangerous human activity for earth is making nuclear weapons; the rays from these armors are very hazardous both for earth’s atmosphere and human.
Although human beings are also doing some beneficial activities like facilitating people in transportation, making new drugs for combating serious diseases like cancer, hepatitis and making different machines to help people in performing difficult tasks. But all these activities are just beneficial to human beings not to earth.
In conclusion, human activities are facilitating people but they are continuously harming the atmosphere of earth by increasing deforestation, increasing pollution and by the development of very dangerous nuclear weapons and much more.

It has recently been announced that the new movie theatre may be built in your neighbourhood. I oppose this plan because the traffic would increases as large number of people visit with families.The people would get annoyed by the noise of large number of people coming every day. Noise increases as families have to visit there for fun and entertainment.As traffic increases so the parking area should be large and wide for the cars to park. So, the near by people would get difficulty in parking their vehicles this increases disputes and clashes.
The people want calm and peace specially during weekends and in weekends people go to the cinemas for entertainment this would damage the peace of the people. People want to spend time with families by staying at homes. After the establishment of theatre people would get disturb.Weekends are the days of relaxation and time for the students to study.Noise will creates disturbance in the study of students.My neighbourhood is the open place so the big building of theatre would occupy the near by grassy plots. We need more grassy plots than a theatre. According to me the government should pay attention on this project and don’t allow them to built a theatre in town where there is a population of 5000. They should built such type of recreational points away from population.All in all, I find this idea improper for my neighbourhood.

Neighbourhood is a community within a city, town or rural area. It is the place where a lot of people live together and having a face to face interactions. They meet each other and share new ideas. Help each other and creates a peaceful environment in the society. My neighbourhood is a nice quiet area near the centre of the city. It has recently been announced that the new movie theatre may be built in your neighbourhood. I oppose this plan because the traffic would increases as large number of people visit with families.the people would get annoyed by the noise of large number of people coming every day. Noise increases as families have to visit there for fun and entertainment.as traffic increases so the parking area should be large and wide for the cars to park. so the near by people would get difficulty in parking their vehicles this increases disputes and clashes.
the people want calm and peace specially during weekends and in weekends people go to the cinemas for entertainment this would damage the peace of the people . as people want to spend time with family by staying at homes. after the establishment of theatre people would get disturb.weekends are the days of relaxation and time for the students to study.noise will creates disturbance in the study of students.my neighbourhood is the open place so the big building would occupy the grassy plants that are near by us. we need more grassy plots than a thertre. accorgig toi me the government should pay attention on this project and donot allow them to built a theatre in to

Employers are those individuals who serve an organization and inreturn get some reward. Some employers usually prefer to hire inexperienced employees at low salary. I think, a company should prefer to hire experienced employee with a good salary package. There are some reasons that will support my opinion.
Firstly, experienced employees are easy to handle and they have the perfection, company can take more work from them because they know how to manage it. In today’s competitive business, every company wants perfection in their work without mistakes.
Secondly, if a company hired an inexperienced employee then they have to pay alot for their training in order to teach them the tasks. Due to this cost and effort effect on training, their is no advantage for the company to hire on low salary. The company have to even pay double to train the employee.
Thirdly, in this compititve world employers usually faced many critical conditions and tensions. They need those employees who know how to manage work in the critical situations and be loyal with the company in critical situations. Mostly experienced people have these qualities that they can work in critical situations aswell without affecting their work and also be their to support their employers to cope with the situation.
For example, i share an experience of one my family member. My uncle is a business man. Once he was so ill that hewas hospitalized for a month. Due to his well experienced and hardworking employee he wasn’t be worried from their business matters as he know the experienced hardworking employees will do very good.
So, I conclude that experienced employees with high salary is better option and a company should hire these individuals as it will save the cost and efforts of training to inexperienced individuals. The high salary will also give an incentive to the experienced employees to work hard and do it with loyalty.

Historical buildings are basically gives image of the culture of a nation. The nation’s who remember their past always do progress because the history gives and alive a nation’s norms and values among generations. Some people may support that historical buildings should not be destroyed. As for as I am concerned, the historical buildings should be replaced with new buildings or renewed for the sake of different purposes to be used for. As according to today’s worlds situation the overspread population of the world demands more land to survive. Therefore old buildings should be replaced with the new buildings. There are some reasons for my opinion.
Firstly, new buildings would be according to the new demands of the people to fulfill. If a historical building replaced by a new building used for business purposes then it will help to generate the revenue for the country and will also help to reduce the unemployment in the country.
I want to share an example of my cousin. They have a very large historical building of their grandparents when they were in the war of independence between India and Pakistan. But a long time ago my parents they were living hand to mouth as there whole property was lost just the grandparents historical building was left. My father took the step and decide to replace that old building with the new building, That building was used for multiple purposes i-e for the sake of business, library, printing press.
Secondly, most of the historical buildings as in the case of my country, are in so bad condition that they can be a harm for the surrounding area population because they are almost to destroyed. In such case its better to replace them my renewing it in some sort of hotel, restaurant etc. Through this act we can also attract many tourists and also again this will help to increase the country revenue and will be a source of employment.
There is an example present in my country, as in Food Street the old buildings renewed and make them as food places, and famous Dino’s cafe where we can see our historical monuments.
So, i conclude that historical buildings should be preserved but it should be used according to fulfill the need of that time.

eassy relates to the poor countries.

City is a relatively large and permanent human settlement. People used to live together do jobs, students go to schools,universities and colleges. Every city must have educational institutes , hospitals, recreational points,restaurants and all basic necessities of life.My friend is planing to move in my city. I am very happy to got the news of her arrival to my city.I know that she would dislike three important things about my city like traffic problem,air pollution and lack of commercial facilities. Due to the big population in the city traffic is the major problem. Traffic in the main streets has to be stopped for a long time even for some hours. People gets late for the offices, students get late for schools and even patients face problems if they have to visit hospitals. I have to leave my home 1 hour before my office work and my office is only 4 km away from my house.Due to heavy traffic air pollution is increasing day by day.
Besides all this my city have some characteristics like good job opportunities. As being the big city so it has industries, factories, software houses, power plants,offices, educational institutes , medical facilities so chances of getting good job is more. There are 5 big hospitals with specialised doctors and many clinics with qualified doctors in them. There are fast food, continental, Italian restaurants in my city. There are 7 big supermarkets and big grocery stores.4 world famous universities are there in my city. All the basic facilities of life are available here.
so, it is was responsibilities to inform you about the merits and demerits of my city.So, now its up to you either you want to move my city or not?

Co workers are the people that work under the same employer , in same organization,environment and rules. These are the people that work with you in order to make their organization meets its goals.There are some properties that every co worker should have like he should be cooperative . Every organization believes in team work, in team every worker must have to work hard in order to achieve the goals and completes projects on time. He should consider himself as a team member not an individual person.A good co-worker should be helpful and show understanding at work place. He should be comfortable with the changes in scheduling timings, show understanding between the group members such as ready to do extra work, exchange of work and no problems with new procedures in work. Moreover, take his responsibilities seriously because if he does not perform proper work then it would affect each member in the team.
He should listen to the opinions of other works and try to follow them if he doesn’t do this conflicts arises. He should be punctual if he is working in a team so all the co workers should start their works on time. He should be complaisant, friendly and not hyper. He should have a good quality of maintaining the friendly environment of the work place.He should help other co workers in the hour of need and try to pull them out my giving good opinions and help.
He should take the criticism and admonish in a constructive way. He should not be jealous and does not have a bad habit of leg pulling. He should be active and show willingness in work completion. Inactive persons leads to the delay in project.
so, these qualities are necessary for every co worker in order to compete in market and meet the goals of the work place.
