I would like to talk about a dog. It was recently gifted by my sister to my son. The name of the dog is Chase. It is very interesting for the reason that as soon as I enter the house, he knows about it and he starts barking. I was told by some of my friends that it is very unique for a 4-month dog to respond like that. Moreover, he hates dog food. He loves to eat everything we are eating. Last night, I gave him some cookies, and he was more than happy to have them. Actually, he started asking for more. It was very interesting to see that a dog was having eating habits, which were very similar to human beings.

IELTS Speaking Part 2 Sample Answer: Describe a person who has apologized to you.
Around 2 months ago, I hosted a birthday party for my cousin. The party was well attended by most of my family members. However, one of my friends was unable to make it to the party. Despite the fact that she had given the idea of giving the party, she did not make it to the party. Thus, I was quite offended by her absence. In order to make up for her mistake, she came to my house at my house. Initially, I thought that she would just come up with a lame excuse, but she told me that she had to see a colleague who had met with an accident. After listening to what she had to say, we both started talking about her colleague, and I forgave her for not showing up on that day.

IELTS Speaking Part 2 Sample Answer: Describe a situation when you could not use mobile phone
IELTS Speaking Part 2 Sample Answer: Describe a situation when you could not use a mobile phone
I recall that I had gone to a meeting with my best friend to discuss the improvements which could be made in the neighborhood. At first, everyone was allowed to have a phone, but then all of a sudden, an announcement was made which prohibited people from using mobile phones. Although the meeting only lasted for 40 minutes, I felt very bad because I had to make a very important call to my mother. I had to tell her the time at which I was going to reach home because some guests were waiting for me over there. -
Without capital punishment (the death penalty) our lives are less secure and crimes of violence increase. Capital punishment in essential to control violence in society. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?
I disagree that capital punishment is essential to control violence in society. Capital punishment does not make our lives secure or decrease the crimes of violence because the person who is convicted and punished is not the main culprit most of the time, and the crime may increase if the relatives of punished criminal try to take revenge from public.
In most cases, the act of violence or target killing is done by hitmen who does this just for the sake of money and when that person is caught no one believes about the main planner. Because the main culprit is mostly rich and is a person of great influence. For example, some rich businessmen or politicians hire criminals to get their job done and those hired criminals are only held responsible if they are caught. This does not deter the real culprit to stop doing such violent activities, but they could hire another person by offering money. Thus, capital punishment does not decrease crime because the main culprit goes unpunished most of the time.
Secondly, capital punishment also creates bad impression of law enforcement agencies in the minds of families who experience it. People who are punished for the sake of earning money provides their family member and friends the opportunity to avenge the blood by doing criminal activities against law enforcement agencies. For instance, if a father is convicted and hanged to death, there is a possibility that someone from his children will choose to become criminal just to seek revenge of his father against police officers. Hence, the crime will increase in the society.
Therefore, I believe capital punishment is not essential to control violence in society. Rather, life sentence with community work should be promoted to change the mindset of criminals. -

An item of clothing that you purchased at a store has some issues and you wish to return it. Write a letter: • Describing the item in question • Detailing the issues • Telling the manager what you expect them to do with it
Dear Omer,
I am writing this letter to express my annoyance with my recent purchase from your online store. I have been buying from other sellers in the same niche, but never run into any issue. Therefore, I would like to return this product immediately.
Let me explain my situation. Last week, I had ordered a pair of jackets from your store with blue color. The designs that I had bought are unique in nature.
Although the jackets came in great condition, the measurements of the both jackets are not what I had ordered. I wanted to gift them to my friend on his 25th birthday, but it seems that I would not be able to surprise him anymore as I made them customized just for him.
Would you kindly arrange your delivery person to collect this from my home? I would like to get a full refund against this order as it was intended to be a gift for an occasion that has already passed.Yours faithfully,

Present a written argument or case to an educated reader with no specialist knowledge of the following topic. “Prevention is better than cure.” Out of a country’s health budget, a large proportion should be diverted from treatment to spending on health education and preventative measures. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement? You should write at least 250 words.
Although prevention is better than cure but still diverting a large proportion of budget related to treatment to education and preventative measures will not give the desired results because some diseases are seasonal which are very less likely to be prevented. Also, Health education will less likely cause children to take preventative measures in terms of diseases.
Seasonal disease such as influenza is very common in Pakistan before the weather change from warm to cold. Despite the fact, number of preventative measures are taken such as wearing warm clothes and usage of herbal tea most of the people suffer from this influenza and end up going to doctor for medication. Hence, if lesser funds are kept for treatment then it could have adverse effect on the people suffering from it and even cause a risk to life.
Although adults do take preventative measures and are able to prevent diseases to greater extent, children are not able to do the same. It is very difficult for parents to counsel children in terms of prevention of diseases, so the health education will be of very less use for them. That is the reason, health care for children must be well equipped and sufficiently funded because in cause of emergency related to children parents have to rush to the nearest hospital.
Thus, I believe, nevertheless health education and preventative measures are very crucial to be communicated, reducing budget for treatment is not a good idea. The health budget should be sufficient enough to cater the urgent needs of country’s citizen but taking a decision to divert funds from treatment to health education will deteriorate the healthcare system resulting in increased fatalities. -

It is significant to note that there are no men who are working part time or are staying at home and men who are working fulltime enjoys more leisure time as compared to women who work part-time. Moreover, men who work full-time enjoys leisure time in similar amount to women who are housewives. Also, there is little variation in the enjoyment of leisure time by women who were employed fulltime and are housewives. -
Many believe that young people should spend more time with their family instead of other entertainment. Do you agree or disagree?
As entertainments keep us fresh and healthy, everyone need to go to good places for make themselves happy. Basically young people should spend their time in entertainments, because they are healthy, they can participate in sports, and other entertainments. In this period they need to work hard for making their future healthy. According to some countries, they have built interesting grounds; moreover, they have built excellent parks. Everyone can go there; furthermore, they can play sports. Although some places have good facilities, people are not taking advantages from them. In my point of view, they are betradding themselves. Playing regularly will help us in our healthiness; however, healthiness will keep us young.
In conclusion, I will say that everyone must spend their free time in entertainments. In addition to this, they will remain young forever. I should say that every regular entertainment must be a part of our life. For example, going to parks daily will make us fresh; moreover, making parties among family members or friends will strengthen our relationship with them, they will feel free at the time of troubles, and they will easily share their problems with others. -
“Fatherhood ought to be emphasized as much as motherhood. The idea that women are solely responsible for deciding whether or not to have babies leads on to the idea that they are also responsible for bringing the children up.” To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Fatherhood should be emphasized as much as motherhood because the decision of having babies is dependent upon mutual relationship and actions. Also, law dictates the responsibility of both mother and father in terms of brought up of children.
In spite of the fact, the society varies in terms of male and female dominated households but decision of having babies either from man or woman is contingent upon mutual relationship and actions and cannot be fulfilled without the consent of both parties. For instance, if man is not willing to have a baby or vice versa, then no one can force either of them to do so, even law safeguards their rights in terms of parenthood. So, it would be incorrect to say that having babies is in control of mothers only, due to which the responsibility of bringing up the children also rests with them.
Similarly, if the decision of having a baby is taken then it is equal responsibility of father as compared to mother for bringing the children up because the decision was dependent upon the actions of bother parents. For instance, the law in Pakistan requires men to pay for the expenses related to the bringing up of children even after the divorce between husband and wife. Hence, not exonerating men from the responsibility of bringing up of children even after divorce.
Therefore, fatherhood need to be emphasized as of equal importance as motherhood because women are not totally responsible of having babies which also binds men with the responsibility of bringing up of children. -
The table below shows the consumer durables (telephone, refrigerator, etc.) owned in Britain from 1972 to 1983. Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown below.
The table below shows the percentage of consumer durables owned in Britain from 1972 to 1983.
The highest number of consumer durable that is owned by British people is television at 98% in 1983. Moreover, the ownership of vacuum cleaner surged from 87% in 1972 to 95% in 1982, before plummeting to zero in 1983.

Popular events like the football world cup and other international sporting occasions are essential in easing international tensions and releasing patriotic emotions in a safe way. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion.
Popular events such as Olympics or world cup can be helpful in easing international tensions by promoting healthy competition, but it can still be influenced by the present relation between countries.
Popular sports event such as cricket world cup in Pakistan promotes healthy activity not just for the participants but also for the citizens of the country. The time period during which cricket world cup is played the minds of the people are diverted towards watching cricket matches and a smaller number of people participates in riots and other patriotic gatherings. Even though Pakistan and India do not have good relations, players during matches are found to be shaking hands with each other. Moreover, most of the journalists on news channel debate about the cricket matches rather highlighting the negative aspects of neighboring countries. Furthermore, the host country also spends more resources and time in developing the area surrounding stadiums in order to attract tourist, while cutting back time and resources on international rivalry.
Nonetheless, international tensions can adversely impact the sports event as well. Talking about the cricket matches between Pakistan and India more aggression is visible not only among players but also among views. For instance, it is common to see arguments and exchange of harsh words between players during matches. Moreover, viewers are also seen throwing things towards players in the fields, including soft drink bottles. Hence, popular events including cricket world cup is not an effective measure to ease the international tensions that exist, and it can also exaggerate the problems if occurred during those matches
Thus, I believe popular events can divert people from patriotic emotions but diverting players from international tensions is difficult and requires proper training.

Many people want to look younger than their real age. What are the causes of this? Is this a positive or negative development?
Many people want to look younger than their real age because of the requirement of their profession, personal likeness or staying fashionable.
People belonging to the profession of showbiz needs to look younger than their real age in order to remain a part of the industry. That is the reason supermodels and film stars work hard in terms of proper diet and workout to look younger so they could have continued fan following. For example, majority of lead roles in films are given to those actors or actresses who looked young. This is a positive development which also have favorable impact on the health of the person by keeping one fit.
Secondly, as far as men are concerned, most of them want to look younger so that they could wear boys clothing. As sneakers, jeans, hoodies mostly look good on younger people. For instance, if I talk about myself, I like to look younger so I could wear shorts and t-shirts. This is indeed a positive development because for it I do regular workout to stay in shape.
Moreover, talking about women who are very concerned about their looks and most of them hide their true age, perhaps want to look younger. They want this because of their personal desire to look younger than their friends, family members and colleagues in their circle. Some do regular work out and take healthy diet, while others also rely on facial surgeries and usage of drugs. Even though staying young through natural means give benefits, reliance on surgeries and drugs have negative repercussions in the long term.
Thus, many people want to look young due to the requirement of their profession, staying fashionable or personal inclination.

Economic growth is the best way of ending global poverty but it can also have a negative effect on the environment. Discuss both sides and give your own opinion.
Economic growth can cause better education system, availability of goods and more investments in the economy. Although there will be some negative effects on the environment, the benefits will be greater in terms of ending global poverty.
There is wide availability of goods due to economic growth which improves the standard of living of people by creating more jobs for people. In this era, with the expansion of trade people have so much ease of starting their own business over the internet without a need of heavy investment. For example, e-commerce websites such as amazon, ali baba and ali express have given the opportunity of buying and selling goods with almost few clicks. Nonetheless, with this facility there is also increase in negative impact on the environment. For instance, cigarettes and other tobacco products are widely available and even underage teenagers use such harmful products which is having a negative impact on our environment.
Secondly, economic growth also causes expansion in investments resulting in development of industries. This results in reduction in unemployment giving opportunity to people to improve their living conditions. For example, when central bank reduces interest on loan, people increase borrowing to start their businesses which creates jobs in market and reduces poverty. Conversely, with the expansion of industries there is also an increase in pollution caused by industries resulting in negative impact.
Despite the fact that, economic growth causes negative impact to some extent, but it is indeed a positive way of reducing global poverty. For instance, economic growth also brings better education system which improves the literacy level of people. With improvement in literacy level people can secure jobs that results in improvement in their socio-economic conditions. Such as, many poor people struggle to provide education to their children so that they could get a suitable job for earning bread and butter for family.
Thus, economic growth is a good way of reducing global poverty, in spite of the fact that it can also cause negative impact on the environment in some instances.

Money ought to be spent on new public buildings such as museums or town halls rather than renovating existing ones. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
As we know, every country allocates funds for public interest’s projects to create new buildings or either renovate the existing ones. Despite of the fact construction of new landmarks would create employment, i believe in the renovation of existing buildings first. However, the surplus amount can be utilize for the construction of new ones. By considering new construction policy, it would be expensive, un-appropriate money use, burden upon public interest and many more.
To begin with, estsblishing new landmarks should be proportionate to the public need which requires construction of new projects should be as per the population growth. Otherwise it would be wrong use of taxpayers.
Even though building new museums, town halls lead to growth in construction sector, it can be un-suitable as these projects requires long time period as well as huge budgets. Although base matters, Buildings depriciate over the period 20 to 100 years approximately. Despite of the fact that normal wear ane tear exist, the furniture and fixtures have lesser life 5 to 10 years only. I
Since we know, Its more suitable to replace these with new one along.
To sum up, i believe in maximum utilisation of each thing especially money. By focusing, re-construciton/ renovation of existing ones, amount can be wisely utilize. On the other hand excessive finance can be spent upon well-being betterment or other productive projects. -
Around the world, the rich are becoming richer and poor are becoming poorer. What is the cause of this? What solutions are there to tackle it?
The rich are becoming richer and poor are becoming poorer, around the world. This is due to investment opportunites, tax system and access to resources which is intensifying the problem. I will discuss the reasons in detail and will also provide solutions for it.
Firstly, the investment opportunities provide more returns to big investors as compared to small ones. For instance, a person investing 100 million will be offered returns more than 15% by a financial institution; while, a person who is investing 1 million will get returns at around 5%. That is why, rich people are more in a position to expand their wealth as compared to poor people. This problem could be addressed by central banks providing same rate of returns for big and small investors so there is equality for the citizens.
Moreover, poor and rich are paying same taxes on the basic commodities such as bread and butter. So, the people who are earning more or are wealthy pay same amount of taxes on basic goods as poor people pay. For example, poor people who are struggling to meet their food requirement and are living from hand to mouth, still have to pay the taxes on food in Pakistan in comparison to rich people who can easily afford it. Hence, there should be equity in tax system so poor people are exempt from taxes while rich people are made to pay for it.
In terms of availability of resources if we talk about education it also varies according to the social status of people. If I talk about Pakistan there is availability of local education, British education which is O and A levels and the American schooling as well. Therefore, rich people can afford best international education due to which they also land on a well-paid job. Whereas, poor people get limited education from government institutes of low standard and end up being unemployed or accepting a low paid job. Hence, there should be same quality of education provided by government to rich and poor people, so that poor people can also get a chance to improve their social status and get out of poverty.
These are the reasons which are causing rich people to become richer, while poor people becoming poorer, around the world.

Many shops today stay open later than in a past and this has an effect on a shoppers and the community. Is this a positive or negative development?
Now-a-days, the shops has been opened for longer hours in many part of the world. Although it may have some effect on the personal life of owner, I argue that it will be a benificial for both owner and society.
To start with, the positive development for the owner of shop. The owner has a benefit of increasing profit. For instance, if the shop’s owner open their shop for longer hours it definitely add more income for the owner. Sometime the people who does jobs, they does not have enough time for the purchasing. If the shops are open for a longer time, they can easily purchase the things according to their suitable time.
To conclude, it is a positive development for the shoppers and community. If the opening hours of any outlet will increase, it will atomaticaly add more profit for community.

Some people think that higher institutions should concentration more on academic subjects such as history and the physical sciences, while others think that they should concentrate more on practical subjects such as car mechanics and cookery, and so on. Discuss both views and give your own opinion
I believe higher institutions cannot act as a partisan towards academic or practical subjects because it depends on the area of a person in which he or she plan to specialize. So, higher education must provide autonomy to study according to the specialized field.
For instance, people who plan to pursue career in accounts, IT or engineering should focus more on practical subjects because after higher studies students will enter the practical environment so it would give them more benefit to study about practical subjects. For them, academic subjects should have been covered before their secondary education so that they are also aware about academic subjects including history and the physical sciences to some extent.
Conversely, some professions are entirely related to physical sciences and has nothing to do with practical subjects. For instance, a person planning to teach history has nothing to do with practical subjects such as computing, engineering or auditing. Therefore, more focus on academic subjects will be required even at higher education.
This is the reason most of the institutes focus on academic subjects during earlier education and shift to practical subjects during higher studies in order to make them ready before their practical working environment. For example, the curriculum followed in Pakistan actually allows students to study wide range of subjects including courses of humanities and social sciences even at baccalaureate level and then allows to opt for major and minor courses.
Therefore, I believe higher institutions should provide an opportunity of liberal arts education which allows people to choose their subjects according to their desired field of work.

Films and computer games which contain violence are very popular. Some people believe they have a negative effect on society and so should be banned. Other people, however, say they are just harmless and help people to relax. Discuss both these points of view and give your own opinion.
I believe films and computer games which contain violence do not have a negative effect on society and they should not be banned because although movies do show tips and tricks related to violence but most of the people watch it for entertainment purposes and the terrorist and criminals are not found to be watching such violent movies or playing games that caused them to do such activities.
As far as teenager and adult males are concerned, violent video games and movies are quite popular in these days. Number of movies are allocated R category due to explicit violence that is in terms of bloodshed, weapons and drugs. Many college students try out drugs while they are getting their education just to look cool and end up doing violence. For example, many western movies show alcohol and drugs which cause students to try such things with their friends. This results in teenagers becoming addict for life or even involved in criminal activities, such as stealing and fighting.
Conversely, most of the teenagers and students watch violent movies and play such video games just for recreational purposes as they understand good moral behavior due to their upbringing and education. According to a research by National College of Arts, teenagers who watched violent movies were more socially responsible as compared to those who do not know much about it.
Also, criminals and terrorist are not found to be watching violent movies or playing violent games that provoke them to do such untoward activities; but, it is the poverty or lack of entertainment facilities that forced them to become unethical citizens. For example, a survey in national prison of Punjab it was found, 80% of criminals did not even had access to entertainment while they were children.
Thus, I believe films and computer games which contain violence do not have negative effect on society and they should not be banned. -
Some people say that young people should be encouraged to leave home when they become adults while others claim it would be better to remain with their family .Discuss both view and give your opinion
Due to the tremendous influence of modernisation, many changes have taken place in the family structure.Nowaday, parents encourage their children to live alone in young age. However, there are some families think that it is remarkable for young people to live with their parents.
On the one hand ,there are a lot of positive aspect to live far from parents for children .Living separate from parents make the youngester independent as well as make them more confident. This provide the opportunity to young people to live a life on their own terms and self-reliant ,which is very crucial skill for a successful life .For instance, managing all the house chores such as cleaning , paying bills, cooking and so on will make them well experienced at learning and managing their confidence.
On the other hand ,we can’t denay the fact that youngsters living away from their family may find themselves in circumstances that may adversely affect their life .Youngsters and inexperienced people in the absence of parental supervision are more likely to fall prey to bad influence as well as in dangerous activities, such as drug addiction or alcohol consumption, which may spoil their career .However ,this situation is likely to take place with youngsters still living with parents. Besides emotional bonding and family relationship can be maintained better life if everyone is living together under one roof.
In my opinion, although encouraging youngster to live alone may lead them to learn various life skills , negative aspects and risk associated with living alone can far outweigh the benefits.

You stayed over at a friend’s house last weekend and think that you left your watch there. In your letter:
Thank your friend
Describe your watch
Tell them what you want them to doHi Chris,
I cannot simply describe how pleasurable my last weekend was. Although we had stayed together many times in the past, the joy and fun we got this time were unprecedented. I would like to thank you for the hospitality and care your family provided us. However, I think I might give you some trouble as I think I have forgotten my watch at your home, and I would now request you to find it for me.Since you had given us the upper portion of the house, we spent most of the time there. Still, you can check the other rooms in the house. I would like you to specifically check the study room because I used to complete my assignments over there. It is a watch by Tommy Hilfiger. It has a steel strap and the dial is of blue color. Luckily, the dial of the watch glows, when it is dark. Thus, this feature might help you to locate it. Though it is not a very expensive watch, I have an emotional attachment to it as my mother gifted it to me.
I hope you must have found it before you read this letter, but if you are not able to find it, please follow look in the areas, which have been specified above. Moreover, try to make a video call to me while you are searching for the watch so that I could also assist you in this endeavor.
Kind Regards

Some people think that universities should provide graduates with the knowledge and skills needed in the workplace. Others think that the true function of a university should be to give access to knowledge for its own sake, regardless of whether the course is useful to an employer. What, in your opinion, should be the main function of a university?
Many are of the belief that providing skills along with knowledge to graduates is the responsibility of universities, while others consider that university is the place from where an individual can get only knowledge rather than the ability, which is required for the market. In my opinion, though knowledge is essential, there are some other skills which can enhance the competency of graduates by providing useful course related to workplace according to the employer’s need.
Knowledge is essential for graduates to create better understandings. Because knowledge is the gateway to learn that how the things interact with each other, it enables us to think differently. For that reason, mostly universities prefer to give fundamental influence instead of providing other soft skills, which can allow the students to learn the abilities according to the market needs that how to solve the problem practically.
However, the access to knowledge is not enough to teach workplace related skill. In other words, knowledge can only provide the background, while skills can help us in practical approach. For instance, university of the Oslo conducted a study, in which they concluded that universities taught skills along with knowledge produced 75 % effective graduates than the graduates who only possessed degrees without acquiring the skills.
In conclusion, though knowledge has crucial role to educate the students, the skills are also essential, for enhance the competent numbers of graduates for the employers.

Scientists have been warning for many years about environmental protection and how important it is to limit our personal energy consumption. What are the causes of the over-consumption of electricity? How can people be encouraged to use less energy?
It has been asserted that it is imperative to utilize electricity wisely. For this reason, Scientists are concerned for many years and urged the public to protect the environment. In this essay, I will discuss the two main reasons for the over consumption of electricity and possible solutions to address the matter, properly.
To commence with, the primary reason, by and large, of increased use of electricity is that the public is unaware of its’ detrimental impacts on the environment. Because the public is unable to think of electricity use and its’ link with the ill-effects on the environment. To cite an example, global temperature is increasing due to the production of excessive heat from our daily-use electronics such as a refrigerator, a television and other devices. Similarly, another less significant reason is the irresponsible attitude of the people towards environmental protection as the people are not taking predictions of the Scientists seriously.
Moving forward to, there are two solutions that can motivate the people to minimise energy expenditure. On the first hand, a government need to regulate a policy of reward to those who utilise energy efficiently while punishment for others. To illustrate, a government of Pakistan offer less price of electricity to farmers when they used electricity in the night in order to reduce the burden on the transformers. Another solution is the public awareness programmes to educate the people regarding the negative consequences of over-use of the electronic devices.
To conclude, I reiterate that the public education and policies by the state are the need of the hour in order to motivate people to use electricity responsibly. The reduced usage of electricity will help the environment in a very positive way.

It’s believed that people who read for pleasure develop their imagination more and acquire better language skills compared to people who prefer watching television. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
It has been stated that reading habit helps in obtaining better linguistic skills as well as build-up the imagination capability of a person as compared to those who preferred television shows and documentaries. I partially agree with the statement as both reading and watching shows aid language skills and improve imagination.
To commence with, reading articles in a newspaper improves vocabulary. This is because the editors try to use words that attract the audience. To cite an example, when I start preparing for my IELTS test, I bought a newspaper to look for how the editors write. Also, I try to learn their style of linking words together so that I get my required band. Similarly, reading novels is far more helpful in developing imagination power. As the reader is making a perfect plot in his/her mind what an author is saying. Therefore, the people who read novels avoid watching dramas because the drama plot is not perfect as they are thinking of.
On the other hand, watching documentaries on Television enables a person to acquire better listening skills and how to pronounce a word. The speakers are usually native, but non-native speakers also have great language skills. To illustrate, the national geographic channel is famous for its’ documentaries. Similarly, people learning English language preferred to watch them in order to enhance their listening skills which are imperative in understanding a language.
To conclude, I reiterated that both reading and watching television shows boost language abilities as all of the basic elements such as vocabulary, coherence and cohesion, fluency, pronunciation and listening skills are essential to master a particular language.

Topic- today more and more tourists are visiting places where conditions are difficult such as the Sahara desert or the Antarctic .what are the benefits and disadvantages for tourists who visit such places?
It has been stated that tourists’ flow increased to sites of extreme weather, and the places which are not tourist’s friendly such as Antarctica and Sahara deserts. In this essay, I will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of visiting such dangerous places.
To commence with, the most important, by and large, disadvantage of visiting such places is risks of attack from the wild animals. For this reason, the visitors are required to know how to deal with if they pose a risk to them. To illustrate, Sahara desert is famous for Cobra snakes which prove deadly without immediate medical attention. Also, there is another major problem of less number of residential areas so that travellers are required to have tents which is another burden of extra luggage on the shoulders of the tourists.
On the other hand, there are also some benefits when one goes to the areas of low facilities. Because the beauty of unseen areas was not manipulated by thousands of tourist who usually make a visit to famous places. To cite an example, the glaciers of Antarctica are huge and amazing which cannot be seen in any other part of the world, and people are reluctant to visit there due to the extreme of weather. Therefore, the unseen areas are worth a visit to have an incredible experience of exploring the unfamiliar world. Similarly, a number of achievement increases when visiting un-famous places.
To conclude, I reiterated though there may be some risks associated with visiting dangerous places, the sense of accomplishment and looking for beautiful sceneries is worth a visit.

Some people think history has little or nothing to offer, while others say the study of the past helps us understand the present. Write on both views and give your opinion, citing examples from your experience.
It has been asserted that knowing about history is not important, however, some people opposed this view and considered it useful in understanding the current time. In this essay, I will discuss both these views, and why I consider the history can be beneficial in showcasing the present era.
To commence with, learning about the past is worthless. Because incidents that happened in the past are not going to benefit the current generation. To illustrate, as we know about the World war in which Americans attack Japanese cities, and destroy them so what is the benefit of this information. Although this information is not necessary at all, it can create more hatred in the world. Moreover,, rather than wasting time on history, it is more important to give that time to exploring the world by studying science and technology.
On the other hand, some people argued that the past events can aid us to interpret the present age. Since the age of our Prophet Muhammad PBUH, Islam predicts that certain changes will happen in the world. As the 9/11 attack, for instance, is predicted in the holy book, Quran, 1400 years ago, people mock these verses at that time but now we have seen the incident. For that reason, I opine that learning of the past is essential as some predictions can really aid the world in understanding of the present age.
To conclude, I reiterated despite the fact that some people considered learning history a wastage of time while I believe that it is imperative to learn the past in order to understand what is going on in the present-day.

There have been many inventions in human history, such as wheels. Some people think the most important thing is the Internet. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?
It has been asserted that human history is enriched with great discoveries like manufacturing the wheels, the electricity and the motor engines, however, some consider the internet is the most important invention. Although this statement may endorse by some, I completely disagree as the virtual world would not be possible without the inventions of the ancient world like electricity and machines such as the computers and calculators.
To commence, the internet is not the most important invention of the era. This is because the internet needs an operating system like a computer or a cell phone which were discovered Wayback. To illustrate, a computer was developed in the 1970s, and changed an era of a pen and a paper to a paperless era. Moreover, the computers reduce the number of workers as fewer employers can do more work with the help of a computer. Therefore, the operating systems can be the most important discovery of an era, but not the internet.
Another invention worth considering is the electricity. If we are living in an era without it, it would be impossible for us to operate the machines. To illustrate, almost all the operating systems require electricity such as the computers, the calculators and even the cars. Now, electric cars have been manufactured and launched in some countries. So, it is the electricity that is more imperative for people rather than the internet.
To conclude, I reiterate that the internet is not the most important invention, but the electricity and computers which aid the world in the progression. Moreover, the networking is impossible and of no use without the presence of other technologies.

ost of the people in society enjoy watching crime movies and criminal TV programmes. Why do you think people have more interest to watch them ? What is the impact of society due to this?
It has been asserted that a major number of the communities appreciate the Television shows based on the criminal activities. In this essay, I will discuss a reason for interest in such TV shows and its’ positive and negative influences on the society.
To commence, it is the thrill and suspense that render the public to watch the crime-based movies and the Television programmes. One cannot predicts what the outcome is going to be. To illustrate, a Bollywood movie, XYZ, is based on a girl, murdered by an unknown culprit, who is the daughter of a famous Doctor. After an hour of a thrilling investigation by a police officer in the movie, her mother is found to be a killer as she was not her biological mother, but adopted child as the Doctor was infertile.
Moving forward, the television programmes are arranged in a way to give a positive lesson to its’ audience. For instance, a culprit is identified and put behind the bars in most of the programmes. Therefore, the audience feels the fear to commit any type of crime. In addition, the crime-based shows are a good source of entertainment and can prove a good source of releasing the stress of the day.
On the other hand, such type of TV shows is not without the negative impacts on a society. For example, the teenagers often inspired from the techniques about how to plan a crime and try to imitate the scene. The result is obviously not good, but some commit because they considered real life as a scene of the movie. So, these shows may be considered a source of increasing crime in a society.
To conclude, I reiterate that the suspense in the crime-based TV shows is the main reason for interest in watching it. While the aforementioned shows can be a source of entertainment, it can influence the society in a negative way which could raise the crime ratio in society.

Competitiveness is a positive quality for people in most societies. How does competitiveness affect individuals? Is it a positive or negative trend?
It has been asserted that a major number of communities see competitiveness quite optimistically. Although some may disagree with the statement, I believe that competitive nature is the best quality and is a very positive trend which will be discussed in this essay.
To commence, the competitive nature of an individual produces far more positive impacts. It brings the sense of the responsibility and makes one a little egoistic, a quality that is required to make one master in his work. To cite an example, I always wanted to be the topper of my class back in the university days, and this was the competitive nature that renders me stand among the toppers, and finally, I took a Gold medal in my final year MBBS.
Moving forward, employers usually prefer the employees who have a competitive nature. The reason is, the competitiveness of the workers make the firm or a company unique among all other corporations. The Bata shoe stores, for instance, top the list in a recent survey published in the Dawn Magazine, Pakistan. The company in the official statement states that we offer bonuses to the employees who compete with other colleagues, therefore, we stand first.
Moreover, an employer, who is competitive by nature, is able to take risks in his business which help him and the business to prosper more as compared to other non-competitive owners of the firms and corporations.
To conclude, I reiterate that competitiveness produces a positive influence on the individuals’ performance and make them achieve their goals. Hence competitiveness is a positive trend.

Success is often measured in terms of how much money somebody has earned. Do you think wealth is a good measure of success? How else could we measure whether somebody is successfu or not?
It has been asserted that people consider wealth as a sign of success, however, there are other ways that are a sign of prosperity as well. In this essay, I will discuss both these views and why I disagree that wealth alone is not a symbol of a successful life.
To commence, the money is considered the symbol of achievement. This is because the rich people can buy anything they want. The wealth provides its owner success and happiness, for instance, if he is fond of visiting other countries or interested in collecting precious items, he become far more social in order to make contacts with the powerful people which can be helpful in removing the obstacles in the way of more success. For this reason, some think that they are successful due to their assets.
On the other hand, while the money alone could not be a symbol of success, the health is a more important indicator of the success. To illustrate, a famous Jeweller, XYZ, in our neighborhood is very rich as he owns million-dollar assets, suffers from a disease of raised blood sugar (Diabetes) and high Blood pressure. He told me that I can give any amount of my wealth if someone bargains with a healthy life. So, he is neither happy nor considers himself a successful person despite his assets.
In my view, I never considered wealth as an indicator of success rather health and happiness is more important to me.
To conclude, I reiterate that money can buy materials on the planet Earth but not the health which is more important for one to be a truly successful individual.

These days the fashions in clothing are constantly changing. Is this affecting individuals and the environment in a positive or a negative way? Give reasons for your answer and include relevant examples from your knowledge and experience.
It has been asserted that changing variety of the trendy wearables every other day is influencing people and the environment. Although some may endorse the statement, I strongly consider that the alterations in a fashion industry produce significant negative impacts on a person and the society as a whole.
To commence, it is very difficult for an ordinary individual to buy fashionable clothes in his limited salary. Therefore, he will work for overtime to earn more which can lead to serious negative health implications. To illustrate, people who work for extra hours, often suffer from lack of sleep, the condition called insomnia which further leads to irritability and a vicious cycle begins that further decline the health of an individual.
Moving forward, if a whole society is interested in buying trendy outfits, it can harm the society and the environment adversely. To cite an example, the used clothes dumped into the waste-bins when new clothes arrive, so the level of pollution will rise in that particular area. Moreover, the people usually burn the old clothing which can also give rise to lung diseases due to poor quality of the air. The increase pollution level and a number of patient visits to hospitals will make a burden on the economy of a country and prevents the country to prosper more.
To conclude, I reiterate that rapid changes in the fashionable costumes significantly affect the personal health and psychiatric ailments. Similarly, the state suffers negative economic impacts due to the raised pollution level and over-flow of the patients to the health care facilities.

In recent years some countries have experienced very rapid economic development. This has resulted in much higher standards of living in urban areas but not in the countryside. This situation may bring some problems for the country as a whole. What are these problems? How might they be reduced?
It has been asserted that rapid financial growth in some countries lead to improvement in the standard of living in the cities but there are no benefits for the rural areas which can be troublesome for the whole state. In this essay, I will discuss the associated problems and how the state can effectively deal with these problems.
To commence, the most important, by and large, problem associated with unequal distribution of wealth to the cities would lead to urbanization. This is because people will migrate from rural areas to the cities. To illustrate, people always search for the opportunities to improve their lifestyle. For this reason, people will leave their home towns and shift to the cities so that they have better employment and earn more. Besides, the Urbanization would lead to increase pollution due to more homes and vehicles which would have negative impacts on the whole state .
Moving forward, the government needs to have some solutions to tackle these problems. The primary solution is, that the state implement policies to prevent unequal distribution of resources to either cities or rural areas. To cite an example, the state is responsible to build infrastructure in rural areas such as roads, health facilities, educational institutions to provide them better opportunities and help them raise the standard of living. Therefore, the risk of Urbanization and pollution can be curbed which will have positive effects on the whole country.
To conclude, I reiterate that the rapid economical growth in the cities is associated with Urbanization and pollution so the state must regualte policies to share some benefits with the rural areas, and prevents the negative outcomes for the whole country.

More and more wild animals are on the verge of extinction and others are on the endangered list. What are the reasons for this? What can be done to solve this problem?
It has been asserted that the number of wild animals is reducing drastically to the level of extinction due to the reason that people hunt them in order to earn money. Although the government is responsible to regulate policies to protect the endangered animals, the nationals on community-level need to run awareness programmes on individual and the community level.
To commence, the primary reason, by and large, of a declining number of animals is its illegal hunting. This is because rich people preferred to buy the animals to make themselves wearables and decorate their homes with. To illustrate, the skin of the Tiger is used for the production of the leather jackets which is considered fashionable and trendy. In addition, these animals are used for decoration purposes. For instance, the skin of a tiger is filled with sand to make an artificial tiger that looks exactly genuine.
Besides, it is the responsibility of the government to regulate the policies to curb a problem. The government needs to ensure that there is no illegal killing of the animals. To cite an example, Pakistan issues license to foreigners for 1 million dollars, therefore, they are allowed to hunt Markhor: The national animal of Pakistan, which is cruel, so government must ensure to form policies and restrict such actions. Also, it is the responsibility of each individual that they run awareness programmes in their communities to protect the animals.
To conclude, I reiterate that illegal killing is the most important reason for the decreasing number of animals and the state must take legislative measures to protect the animals.

Farmers within a country are often protected by tariffs – that is, special taxes on imported food. Such policies are necessary, and should be implemented wherever possible. To what extent do you agree with this? Give reasons for your answer, and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
It has been asserted that the state is implementing policies such as special taxes on food in order to protect farmers financially. I completely agree with the statement as it is the responsibility of the government to work for the benefits of the low income people.
To commence, the government regulate policies for farmers to support them. The most important reason, by and large, is these low-income workers work very hard in the fields to grow and supplies healthy food to the citizens of the country. To illustrate, they work round the clock whole year whether it rains or during extremely hot days of the summer to protect the food from extreme weather. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the state to implement policies which are farmers-friendly, motivating and satisfying for the agricultural workers.
Moving forward, putting taxes on the processed and imported food is useful to uplift the economy of the country which inturns upgrade the standard of living of the ordinary person while some money is collected from the people of the upper class. This circulation of wealth renders society stronger by keeping the poor and the middle class families more happier as they are enjoying the free benefits such as health and education provided by the country.
To conclude, I reiterate that the government is implementing policies for their farmers that are really helpful for the agricultural workers and motivates them to work more enthusiastically to get more profits of the hard-work. Also, taxes collection from tge rich would likely to uplift the economy of the country.

Many educational institutions give greater importance to subjects related to science and ignore subjects such as drama and literature. Why is this? Is this a positive or negative development?
It has been asserted that the majority of educational organisations preferred to study science subjects rather than arts and literature due to a concept that Scientific knowledge is necessary to learn for a better future and career. I, however, consider this approach quite optimistic as World needs more advancements which are only possible if we have studied Science and Technology.
To commence, Science studies are preferred in a major number of educational institutes. The most important reason, by and large, is the need for these studies in the development of our career and prosperity of a state. To illustrate, Scientists can earn more wealth due to their research like a vaccine is made for Hepatitis C recently, for which they received a Nobel price and cash of 1.1million dollar. Moreover, advancements in technology render a country safe both economically and from wars. For instance, Nuclear weapons can provide cheaper energy which in turn reduce the cost of electricity to ordinary citizens of a state.
Moving forward, studying science rather than arts and literature is quite a positive development in term of financial stability for a state. This is because scientific development can earn more benefits while literature cannot. To cite an example, the prestigious fighter jets F-17 has manufactured by the government of Pakistan in collaboration with the Chinese government at very low prices while our neighbour country bought their fighter jets from France which cost them a huge sum of their annual budget. So the technological advancements can help a country to stand on its own two feet.
To conclude, I reiterate that Science studies must be a focus of the educational institutions as it produces a positive impact on the economy of a country and improves the security of a state as well.

Some scientists believe that intelligent life forms may exist on other planets and some want to send messages to contact them. Others think it is a bad idea because these life forms may be too dangerous. Discuss both views and give your own opinion
It has been asserted that scientists must contact the foreign planets to make a good relationship with them while other opposes this statement as they might be a threat to those live on a planet Earth. In this essay, I will discuss both these views and why I consider that contacting them will not be without any danger as they are far more intelligent than us.
To commence, it is always good to have terms and connections with the smart people. For this reason, our scientists tries to establish connections with the people living in other planets. This is because, the scientists think that we can benefit from the advancements they made. To illustrate, it is impossible for humans to live in space while space population lives their without Oxygen. Therefore, contacting them seems like the need of an hour.
On the other hand, it was a custom in the primitive ages that the intelligent and powerful people dominates the weaker one. Therefore, making communication with the people of space may be very dangerous for us. For instance, if we are able to contact them and they consider it a threat to their community, they may impose a war on us and defeat will be our fortune as we will not be able to fight them due to their advance technology.
In my view, we should mind our own business and not provoke the peaceful citizens of other planets as they are not interfering in our lives.
To conclude, I reiterate that despite some benefits, we must avoid communicating alliens as they are more advance in the technology and can be a threat to a human life.

In today’s competitive world, many families find it necessary for both parents to go out to work. While some say the children in these families benefit from the additional income, others feel they lack support because of their parents’ absence. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
The time spent with children is more important than the money you spend on them. It has been asserted that children get benefitted from the income when both parents are working, however, some oppose this view and opine that children are being neglected. In this essay, I will discuss both the views and why I consider that despite financial benefits, youngers are neglected when both parents work.
To commence, it is quite obvious that when there is an extra amount of money, it would facilitate the end-users. This is because money can buy most of the amenities that make a child happy. For instance, I used to love bicycle when I was a child and it was my dream, but my father was spending all his earnings to provide us with the food, shelter and education. So, my mother started working as a private school teacher and she bought me a bicycle when she saved enough cash for it. After that, I was very happy.
On the other hand, when parents are not home, children’s lack emotional support. The reason is, there is an emotional attachment between the parents and their youngers. To cite an example, one of my friends’ sister and her husband work together and left their only child in the home with aunts and uncles. She used to be a very interactive and happy child, but now she is unfriendly as she was crying continously for her mom but there was none to console her.
In my view, although there is some financial freedom, I opine that one parent must be at the home to care for and provide support to his child in case they need it.
To conclude, I reiterate that parenthood cannot be replaced by any amount of wealth and physical presence of the parents is imperative to boost confidence in them and support their loved ones.

Some children have a natural ability to grasp foreign languages and for that reason it should not be a mandatory subject in the academic curriculum. Do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience
It has been asserted that foreign languages such as English and Arabic are not necessary to be a part of mandatory course in the educational institutes. Although this statement may be endorsed by some, I strongly disagree as language like English is spoken worldwide and is the need of an hour to achieve succes in the world.
To commence, the primary reason that international languages must remain part of the curriculum is to render communication easy thorughout the world. To cite an example, it is very difficult to learn each and every language like Chinese, Spanish or French. Therefore, there must be one language that have been studied around the globe so it would make the world understands each other, no matter what is the primary language.
In addition, job opportunities are more in the developed countries like the United kingdom or the USA and both are English speaking countries. In order to get visa, one must have to clear English language proficiency exams like IELTS or TOFEL. For instance, medical professionals are required to get 7.5band out of 09 in the English test. After they get the required band, they are eligible to apply for the visa. Therefore, foreign languages are imperative to learn from school time, so that it is easy to qualify language exams and avail jobs in the foreign countries.
In conclusion, I reiterate that foreign languages are important to learn and muat be included in the curriculum in order to communicate with other fellows around the world and to prosper in one’s own field.

Nowadays, people change their appearance by dying hair, buying fashionable clothes, wearing make-ups, and even undergoing plastic surgery. What are the reasons? Do you think it is a positive or negative development?
People yearn to look great since early ages. It has been asserted that people are manipulating their normal look by performing surgical procedures and preferred trendy wearables. Although this trend may be endorsed by some, I am quite pessimistic as this trend is heavily associated with huge financial losses and some unfortunate health risks.
To commence, the primary reason, by and large, is to look great in order to impress others. This is because people nowadays are more materialistic and judgemental so judge others by their appearance. The Gucci, for instance, is a company that makes expensive outfits. In their ads, they show that person who wore their dress attracts more girls as compared to others. In addition, attractive appearance and nice wearable boost the confidence level according to a recent survey by the fashion magazine which also makes people to manipulate their physical appearance.
Moving forward, I, however, consider that this trend produces far more negative impacts on the people as it costs huge money. To cite an example, the Bata shoes store, normal adult shoes costs 8000 PKR, and the same are easily available in the ordinary stores in less than 2000 PKR. Moreover, operative procedures like plastic surgery is associated with serious health implications. The Micheal Jackson, for instance, lose his nose due to repeated surgeries. Since then he used to wear nasal replica till his death
To conclude, I reiterate that just to look great physically despite its deleterious effects on health and huge finances, trendy costumes and surgical procedures are not worth a try.

Some people think that the best way to reduce crime is to give longer prison sentences. Others, however, believe there are better alternative ways of reducing crime. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
It has been asserted that long term imprisonment is more helpful to diminish the rate of crime, however, some people oppose this statement and preferred other methods more beneficial. In this essay, I will examine both views and discuss why I consider that root causes of evil must be addressed to reduce the crime rate instead of an extended stay in lockups.
To commence, longer prison sentences are an excellent way to decrease the crime rate. This is because it prevents criminals to have an opportunity in an open and free environment. Although I blame the negative attitude of the society for the increase number of crimes, the unstable emotions of the patient are equally responsible as well. So, prisoners retention for a longer period in jails could be helpful in addressing the prisoners behaviour by medical professionals and transforming them into useful citizens of the community.
On the other hand, there are some other best methods to cope with law violators in the country. Since the physical and emotional torture in a prison is likely to have a negative influence on the prisoners, it is better to adopt other ways. For instance, poverty and illiteracy are often blamed to be the leading causes of offences, so if these factors were addressed properly through proper individual education and implementing policies on the community level, it would be very easy to eradicate the crimes.
I, however, opine that the state is responsible to work on a grass-root level, to ensure proper education facilities, eradicates poverty and offers psychological counselling to the offenders rather than long term retention in prisons which would reduce the crime rate.
To conclude, I reiterate that sometimes longer stay in jails may be inevitable, but as long as the root cause of crime is not handled properly, the crime would not show any decline.

Fatherhood ought to be emphasised as much as motherhood. The idea that women are solely responsible for deciding whether or not to have babies leads on to the idea that they are also responsible for bringing the children up.” To what extent do you agree or disagree?
There is a saying that parents are the best role models for their children. It has been asserted that female decides either to give birth or not. Therefore, it renders women to further take care of their children as well in terms of character building, financial expenditure and provide them with other basic needs. Although this statement may be endorsed by some, I strongly disagree as I consider both mother and father accountable for the upbringing of the child.
To commence, it is the responsibility of both the parents to take care of their child. This is because each one has its role. Take father, for instance, he usually loves to play outside sports instead of computer games so it would help a child to grow strong physically as well as emotionally, because games with multiple partners develop sportsmanship and leadership skills, and it is the responsibility of a team leader to knows the inner qualities of his team inmates which obviously requires strong intellectual skills.
On the other hand, mother or females are good at etiquettes by nature. Therefore, the mother is best to teach her child how to be polite and loveable in order to build a strong relationship with others. To cite an example, a recent survey in the USA state that successful marriages are due to compromises made by females in almost 70percent of the cases and it is the tolerance level that keeps these marriages long-lasting. Moreover, mothers are supportive in case of a failed relationship and can give the best advice in order to rebuild the relation or to move-on.
To conclude, I reiterate that both parents are responsible to provide good care and love for their children. Similarly, it is a joint effort of both the parents in the upbringing of the children.

Some people believe that Governments should spend money on cultural activities (arts, music, theatre). Some individuals think that this is a waste of public money. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
It has been asserted that traditional events such as arts, cinemas and music must be organised by the state even if it costs money while others oppose this view as they consider it wastage of national treasure. In this essay, I will outline why I consider spending money on such events beneficial, as well as why this is a waste of money.
To commence with, recreational activities are required to keep the nation healthy. While music is sometimes considered as the essence of the soul, arts is best known to keep the culture alive. To cite an example, Ertugrul Ghazi is a drama serial based on Usmania Caliphate which promotes rich Islamic culture, and is also a great source of entertainment. Moreover, the movie theatres are associated with a number of employment opportunities, therefore, it could aid uplift the economy of a country. Hollywood, for instance, produces an Avatar movie, which makes a profit of over a billion dollars. Hence it aids the economy and also promotes the culture of SCI-FICTION movies.
On the other hand, cultural events are considered to be a wastage of public money. This is because people think that these activities are just for entertainment and not providing any healthy benefits to society. Pakistan, for instance, is suffering from major health-related issues as there is less number of hospitals. So, rather than providing funds for the arts industry, the state must build well-equipped infrastructure in order to address this grave issue.
To conclude, I reiterate that I agree with the former view that government must arrange traditional activities as the entertainment industry is a good source of recreation as well as providing a number of employment opportunities to skilled people. These activities are also helpful to make under-developed countries stand on their own two feet.
-

Some people like to spend their leisure time with their colleagues while others prefer to keep their private life separate from their work life. Is it a good thing to spend leisure time with a colleague?
It has been asserted that some people find it more comfortable to spend free time with their workplace’s companions whereas some stay away from them. In this essay, I will outline why I consider it favourable to have a company with a colleague from the workplace.
Words:46To commence, the primary reason to support the statement is that the colleagues from the same organisation understand the nature of your job. It is difficult for others from out of the same field to stand in my shoes and feels the same way. The medical professionals or police officers, for instance, usually work twenty-four hours in 03 phases while teachers perform their duty for only 06 hours. So, if the teacher is a friend of a police officer or doctor, he will complain regularly of their proud attitude despite the fact that they might be sincere and busy in the work which would ultimately lead to weaker bond.
Moving forward, colleagues are helpful and beneficial in case of some urgent work. The workplace’s friends may provide replacement and can handle your work. To cite an example, in case of an emergency, if one is unable to attend his duty, he can freely ask a colleague to perform his duty. Moreover, in case of work stress, sympathetic colleagues can be good listeners who could help relieve the stress.
To conclude, I reiterate that partners from the same field are beneficial in terms of feeling the same way as you feel and are able to perform your duties when in need or can be good stress relievers.
